I have been caught about 3 times by the police Each time they said that as long as there is no sign that I am allowed But what about locked dumpsters? What if I don't break into the dumpster but while it's locked stick something in there and grab things? Is that illegal? There is no signs Just a lock

It was my understanding that there was a federal case that ruled that dumpsters unlocked dumpsters were public domain And as it was a federal case does not the federal ruling supersede any state or local law or regulation?

Simple answer no because that's considered trespassing in most cases I would not risk it if I were any of you people it's not worth going to jail and having the pay it up the ass with money to bail your ass out and to pay fines and all court costs not worth the damn hassle so if you really want something go buy it don't go looking for trouble dumpster diving‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

One of my friend was dumper driving at family dollar and took a bag of dog food the cop happen to see it and arrest him i though that was so mean he is on a lowcome and he was trying to feed his dog plus it was already in the garbage

I would think that they would be more apt to have a look at the videos if some idiot makes a mess around the dumpsters My rule of thumb is to leave the dumpster area better than I found it I pick up trash on the ground, etc

Ok , good show guy I would really like to know more, the US Supreme Court said when you put your trash on the curb , you gave up ownership That's why the cops can get in your trash Here in town we have two kinds of dumpsters Trash dumpsters and recycling dumpsters If they get you in a recycling one you go to jail I get away with a lot , don't look odd or look like your hiding I have big white van with with E-waste recycling on the side , flashing green and yellow lights And safety vest I look like I belong

When i was a cop I had a call from a chick place that someone was rummaging through their dumpster after they closed So I showed up, waited for the HOMELESS guy to finish, told him to take his time I felt bad for the guy I told him they didn't want him in it I also told him to wait another hour until all employees are gone before going in But most the time we just drove by, I never got out of my car It's stupid and people can be petty As long as they were not making a mes or damaging property I didn't care and never ever made one arrest for it
