I passed the BCBA exam today, on my first attempt, and I recommend Jessica L's content I completed the BDS modules 1 year ago but felt burnt out and never took the exam After a long break from touching any of the material (6 months) I watched all of your videos again on 15* speed and did your free mock exam, the day before I kept your ABA mindset when answering the questions (especially during crossing out all the clear wrong answers first), and I must say that you are some sort of genius :) ty so much! brbrbrAbove all, you made me realize that there is a lot of misinformation running around across varying study materials Especially in regards stim and response gen, and calling terms synonymous or akas when they really aren't Your content enabled me to make those fine discriminations correctly Comment from : Vicious Gladiator Disperse |
Jessica, I have a question regarding a question that is in section G The question was in regards to Berikisu passing her BCBA exam and asking the waitress what kind of champagne they havethe correct answer was D a mand and I am confused how it is a mand if the waitress doesn't provide an answer I thought it would only be considered a mand if you are asking a question and getting an answer No answer was given in this question Comment from : Tiffini Chamblin |
I PASSED THE BCBA EXAM TODAY!!!! Your videos were extremely helpful in learning how to break down the test questions, and really figure out what was being asked! I probably have watched all of your videos! I not only learned the material, but how to apply it to a test question! THANK YOUU!!! :) Comment from : Ashlyn Vanderburg |
At 2:09:29 you added 7+8+9 and said it is 21, which would make avg latency 7 minutes, but it’s actually 24 and avg latency is 8 minutes Comment from : Tori Dionne |

At 4:40:07, How is it that a "Do not enter" sign is a response prompt and not a rule-governed behavior? it is a verbal statement that does not come in contact with a consequence Comment from : Meret Ashamalla |
Hey Jess!brbrQuick question at 54:10: I chose variable interval because the question states that she gets a break about every five minutes that she “completes her work,” leading me to believe that at the end of the interval, she also has to complete some work before earning a break (interval: time + one response) I like your explanation, but I’m confused - does the response at the end of the interval have to be something specific? So, you say that she did not ask for a break (the response), so it would not be interval Can the response be completing math problems, which would in turn allow her to take a break? Sorry if this is confusing Comment from : Sarah Catherine |
Thanks for sharing this wonderful teaching methods and BCBA content exam Well done!!! I will continue learning from your presentations Comment from : Rolando Ramirez Alejo |

Comment from : Sandra Blackwell |
At 3:37:44, you said the analysis of precursors was the correct answer But wouldn't the question have to indicate that he has a precursor to use this type of assessment? I thought it would be latency-based since you can intervene before the behavior finishes occurring Comment from : ALLEYMARCH18 |
At 4:35:09 you say matching law is associated with the multiple schedules of reinforcement Shouldnt it be concurrent? Comment from : Erica |
Thank you so much for this video I just passed my exam today, and I don’t think I would’ve done as well as I did without your video! Comment from : an0ngluck |

Hi Jessica! brI love love love all of your videos You make the concepts much easier to understand brbrQuick question: at 1:19:30, the answer is response generalization, which I got correct It makes sense, that the response is different (move from spoon to stand mixer), but the stimulus stays the same (the cake) Would using the spoon to mix other desserts (scones, cupcakes, pies, etc) be stimulus generalization? So, she learns how to make a cake by mixing the batter with a spoon Now she mixes pie filling, scone filling, cupcake batter all with a spoon The stimulus changes (the type of dessert), but the response stays the same (mixing with spoon) Is this correct? Comment from : Sarah Kondziela |

At 3:51:29 the question about the fly and the shoe And the answer was that the shoe would be the SD I disagree with this because wouldn’t it be a cmo-t? The shoe has no motivation to be used in that manner until the fly entered the room so the shoe becomes a condition motivating operation? Comment from : Blake Murrah |
Thank you so much for this! Comment from : Johanna |

I passed my exam today! Your videos really helped me understand the rationale behind Task List A type questions and supervision questions Thank you so much for pouring so much time to make this a free resource! Comment from : BreAnna Dalton |
WOW this is such a great resource thanks for sharing! Is rule governed behavior only for behaviors that would contact punishment if not avoided or an alternative behavior not used For example, if you steal, you will go to jail Or can this also be for behaviors that would contact positive reinforcement For example, Joey has never washed the dishes Joey's mom says "If you wash the dishes, you will get an ice cream cone" Joey immediately washes the dishes brThis is something that came up as I've been taking practice tests brHappy Holidays and thanks in advance! Comment from : BreAnna Dalton |

Hi Jessica first of all thank you so much for taking the time to make this video It has been SO helpful for me as I study for the exam I have a question! It is news to me that when asking for information, the question would be a mand My question is, looking at the question in the opposite way, would the answer from the person be an intraverbal? For example, in your champagne question Would the champagne that the waitress answers be an example of her engaging in an intraverbal operant? Comment from : Jina Hartwell |
I am having difficulties understanding why a "Do Not Enter" sign is a response prompt and not a rule governed Can anyone help with this? Thank you Comment from : Maria Basualdo |
