Hello I am studying nutrition and physiology, and I have a problem with the method of taking notes and even summarizing For example, in nutrition I study macro and micronutrients and other parts, but with my studies, I search in other references, and when I come to the summary or take notes, categorization will be difficult For example, I summarized the minerals and vitamins and wrote a complete summary of zinc, for example After a while, I read new information about it, so I wondered if I should allocate a new paper for zinc, or try to leave a full space for additions every time!!! Thank you for making this video My girlfriend is looking for any opportunities to work as a nutritionist in US, because I'm going to study for PhD abroad and she's going with me She already has a nutritionist certificate in Taiwan, but we realized it is not recognized by US and will have to pass the master program and complete the training before getting a nutritionist job From your video it seems impossible It is just too expensive! Just to comment on what you said about people not taking your advice for instance with the salt example you gave; I think dietitians should learn more about behavioral studies aka getting people to understand why they do what they do and how to successfully change it Read some habit books on how to build better habits and change your life for the better Not only that but understand that if someone if Eating a lot of salt you can’t just say “hey stop eating so much salt” because they don’t realistically know how to Especially when they’re so use to eating a certain way So my advice would be to share with them what to supplement with instead Table salt is nutrient deficient but sea salt is rich with minerals and you end up using less because table salt is easier to over do Also learning when to salt your foods Salt after the meal is done instead of during the cooking process Cut down on processed junk because that is usually way higher in sodium content than anything home made But don’t just tell them to do it, show them how they can and that meal prep is the way!! All of this is so true RD for 5 years now :-) The not listening is another reason I got out of outpatient I would have like 10-12 visits with many people and not even a small change I don’t think I would ever work outpatient again Comment from : Cece Princess
