try a quarter on a string, we used to be able to rig everything in the 80s but i doubt it would work now with the optical mechs they have now days, string cutters could be easily bypassed ! and you have to super glue the thread on a certain way not drilling a hole or taping it, it will not work usually ! if it has a wire credit switch without optics it will work if you know how to do it, those donkey kong type mechs are the worst hardest ones to do !

Use the thinnest thread u can find and use super glue to stick it around the coingedge! Wrapping around the coin make sure its in the center of the coin edge and let the coin fall in freely after afew tries you will be able to hit the wire while pulling the coin back with the thread i know because we played tons and years of games free 😂😂😂 same way to copy maximum tune arcade 2-3 cards onto train tickets or similar dimension pvc cards
