I've been in Austria, Slovenia, Croatia lately and I haven't found neither one ATM that charges no fee for a czech card Even the big banks cash machines charges you for €4-6 Even for the withdrawals from the accounts that are already in EURbrIt looks like the big banks like Raiffeisenbank, Erste or OTP envy the Euronet, so they started to use this shitty practices Shame on them!

I use a Revolut card which can hold any currency you want at the same time, so there will be no conversion except the one you do from the app at a very good rate if you don’t already have the money from other source, but there will still be a withdrawal fee

Hi Honest Guy I just got back from traveling in Prague, which was lovely I may add and a wonderful experience What I found odd in Prague is that many merchants ask you and seem to prefer that we pay in cash even were the bill was the equivalent of say 100 USD I get the credit card charges merchant approx 3 of the bill but found it odd and frequent Appreciate your insight Thanks,

I'm just back from Split in Croatia Similar situation there with conversion charges and fees I'm from a Eurozone country and Croatia switched to Euro this year I withdrew €200 from one of those 'random' ATMs using my bank Debit Card and was charged a fee of €475 I used the same card to withdraw €150 in a Kent Bank ATM, there was no fee (same when I used my Revolute Card)

Regarding the bank fee's, check with your bank to see if they have any partnerships with banks in the country you are going to Last time I was in Prague (2008), my bank at the time (Bank of America) had a partnership with a German and French bank, that had ATM's in Prague I was able to withdraw without a fee I think this was before the "conversion" scam started This video is very helpful, and link most of the videos on this channel, is relevant to most cities in Europe (not just Prague) Prague is a BEAUTIFUL city (I would argue, it's UNDER-RATED, it's just THAT beautiful), enjoy your time there, just be careful (like in any big touristy city)
