"consecrated churchyards did not suffice for the burial of the vast multitude of bodies" ohmygoodness at this point this lesson needs to come with a trigger warning, 2021 flashbacks before my eyes
Comment from : Unony_tell

Unony_tell
"it's difficult to grasp just how profound the Black death was but imagine losing half of your community in a few years to a poorly understood disease" not so difficult now in 2022 after the pandemic, a pandemic i don't even feel the need to specify the exact name of, as if it wasn't just ONE in a series of many pandemics in the history of the worldDamn how none of us had any idea how much more relatable this video would get just a couple years later
Comment from : Unony_tell

Unony_tell
Okay IDEA for another CC History series: Historiography and Historians! something on historiographical trends, changes in the way we view, understand, think about and write history, different schools and scholars, not just western scholars ofc, and certainly not just men Whatsay?

Hey John! I absolutely love this European History crash course I've been bingeing it once again during the covid-19 outbreak I was wondering though if crash course plans to do a crash course on the History of the Americas? I could never seem to find as much information on pre-colonial Native American and Mesoamerican history Would love to binge through a crash course series like that one day!

Comment from : Dreday Allday Everyday

Girl Power
Where is data coming from? Don’t get me wrong, this could be true, but there is very little that the Middle Ages ever happenedbrIf it did why aren’t there more records? Why aren’t there more places outside of Europe recording this information at this time? I’m just saying there’s still a lot of unanswered questions Yet there are more videos on YouTube explaining how we know the Earth is round than there is explaining how we know what we know about the Middle Ages
Comment from : Girl Power

Breno Barcelos

Doc
its funny that americans make fun of europe but seems to not realize they came from europe too i mean your ancestors are not born in america guys they are either british, french, or spanish, and maybe a few other countries aswell, otherwise you'd be native americans wich we used to call "indians" thanks to the spanish dude and yes, black american hate the "white man" for slavery but dont realize that arabs used them as slaves for 1000 years more than the white people and still use as slaves today in arab, Abid is use to call black people and means "slaves" so yeah think about that

Grandmasta Kash
Why does European history begin with the medieval times? I was taught as a black American that Europeans descended from Africans and mixed with Neanderthal And slept in caves and hills with very little hygiene or a centralized cultural system I’m 10 seconds in and children are being married at six years old?

Alexandru Topor
literally half of the art depicted in this episode isn't even medievalit's post 15th century
Comment from : Alexandru Topor

Alexandru Topor
Would sure like a series about the entire medieval period and not just the very LATE medieval periodbrbrAlso if i have to listen through 15 minutes of "medival period bad, modern period good"brbrMost things people associate with "bad medieval stuff" can be mostly attributed to the very late medieval (barely) and most of the modern periodespecially theocracy, cruelty and elitism of the noble class, elaborate state-mandated torture techniques, etc Most of this stuff saw it's peak during the 16th to 18th centuries
Comment from : Alexandru Topor
