They certainly are not common Pobjoy is interesting because they are fairly highly rated at this time and I remember in the 80's they were considered a little Mickey Mouse )) a little like Franklin Mint but they went on to produce some really nice coins in gold and platinum the Angels and Nobles some of which are pretty rare but as Mr Monkey said they still dont have much of a premium but they are worth picking up

I believe they stamped privy marks in the curl of the tail for some coins Like a "H" for the Hong Kong Expo, a "A" for American Numismatic Association, a "C" for the London Coinex show and so on I cant tell if there is a privy on yours, but it would make it worth more

Awesome gold piece Most stackers are aware of the silver Angels but few have seen the gold Angels The Pobjoy Mint produced the gold Angels in 1/10 oz and 1 oz sizes during the 1980s and 1990s, but nowadays only 1/2 gram gold Angels are still being minted The early gold Angels are originally 22kt gold, the later date Angels are 9999 gold Believe it or not, the Angel won a Krause Coin of the Year award when it was first issued Although a lot of gold Angels were made into jewelry, the coins are still quite common and are only worth their spot value

According to the catalog of World Coins the mintage is 8,000 Might be worth the investment to get it graded as long as it wasn't cleaned Looks a like a great coin Thanks for sharing AR!
