It's getting to the point where your almost afraid to even go out and attempt to purchase any bullion anymore The phony tungsten core stuff with a thick layer of gold over it is even fooling some of the keenest eyes out there Even some of the XRF tests are suspect You part with $2000 of your hard-earned money just to purchase a fraudulent 1 oz Buffalo or Eagle, and you're going to hate yourself later Pisses you off

there isnow a new NGC app which allows you to scan the barcode to check the rarity levels of your coins if they are graded with them Same with PCGS, hopefully that would help curb these counterfeits

I just got my second Buffalo, the easiest way to tell is the one you are showing doesn't have the wrinkled effect, I don't buy buffalos unless they are a part of the regular minting, proof and special sets is where they know they can get you Nobody can counterfeit a real Buffalo with all those little lines going through it, giving it a real pirate coin look,,, these proof coins give counterfeiters something to do My Buffalos look nothing like that and it's just a regular one ounce coin that weighs 311, the edges are a little Sharp, one of the characteristics they purposely put I have owned for buffalos in my life and has had many chances to buy the ones with the mirror back but I don't know every detail of that coin so I always stay away I know what I'm buying when I buy the regular 1 oz Buffalo Can't get jipped off on that, plus I only by what's in front of my face, so wait isn't an issue because it's weighed before I buy it and I also measure the width before I buy Just a couple ways to avoid getting your self ripped off $1,500,,, Good luck friend
