Current highest asking price on ebay I can see is £3,900 but that's nothing compared to the £7,000 asking price for a 1971 2p coin brbrI'm not really into coins but have collected bits relating to a surname in my family tree (postcards by a photographer and bottles bearing the name of a relative who had a mineral water business) The postcards are primarily portrait pictures from 1900-1930, the bottles are 1883-1900 I used to find the cards for £2-£3 and the bottles for £3-£5, every listing now has the words 'rare' or 'antique' and asking prices are upwards of £30 brOne 'extremely rare' bottle was listed at £70, I asked the seller what made it rare and asked how much he would give me for the 30 examples I have (I barely paid£100 including potage for the whole lot) He hasn't come back to me yet but he's only had 3 years to think about it so maybe I just need to be a little more patient :) Comment from : Glen Jones |

Always good to show those who are new to coin collecting, this type of information You go on Ebay and there are countless amounts of "sellers" trying to flog these types of errors Another one is the Gunpowder Plot coin with the Pemember mis-strike, and the Rugby World Cup £2 with a weak 1 in 1999 The media doesn't help either! 👍 Comment from : MackemMoolah |
