Gorgeous coin, but it's not over 100 years old Your receipt indicates it was a restrike The restrikes for this coin were made in the 1970's They are still plentiful, and at a great price There are actual old ones available, but most you will get at a great price are going to be the restrikes Same with the Hungarian 100 Korona Nearly all of those are restrikes because the original ones were extremely limited Those were also made in the 1970's

Even without the PMV it's quite easy to verify most bullion grade coins Measure like you did (put tape on caliper to spare coin surface) But you can also check magnetic properties with neodumium magnet Tungsten is ever so slightly magnetic Also there's the ping test (tungsten filled coins don't ping, more of a dull thud) and perhaps the coins is even in the database so you can have the ping sound verified - there's a few apps for that!brAlso if you do it very carefully with very thin thread (I use thin strands from dental floss) you can check specific gravity I once bought a "coin" (medal to be correct) to celebrate 700 years of a village as I randomly stumbled upon it and price was great and even though I didn't know it I had a great feeling about it As said it was very hard to find any info about it because it was very local and I later found out if was only produced in 45 samples (in gold, a little more in silver) I got the specific gravity to 19,1 That was very odd because especially for smaller items (it's 8,86 gram) you always get a lower specific gravity than what is expected because of strings and all the variables which you can't get to laboratory standard on your kitchen table It was supposed to be 90 gold (like vintage coins) I found the foreman of the local numismatic society that had the "coin" made and he confirmed that purity actually was on the (very) high side of 90 without being able to state it more exactly My feeling is that it's probably more like 23K also based upon color compared to 90 coins and Austrain ducats It's not far from the ducat in color

When they say "restrike" does that mean struck twice originally for nicer look? Or restruck at a later date using same dies? Forgive my ignorance

Seems so odd they made these shy of a full Troy ounceat a glance especially reverse side up it looks a lot like the old 50 peso Mexican gold coins but although the same diameter those coins are thicker and weigh far more than a Troy ounce! 375 grams in fact Just bizarre how such a large coin is less than a Troy ounce 9802 of Troy gold content in a 90 alloy 3048762 gramWEIRD! But at least more gold than the 30gram pandas But seriously? They could not at least made em and even 305 grams at least??? 3048762 is annoying!

That coin is big! I have to start checking everything and not just take there word for it! Can I ask what the type of mic you use? I like the digital display on it for my old eyeslol I guess the price was so tight that they can't afford afford a darn capsule I hope you got it shipped free at least !
