Just watch your review of camping memberships… Good and bad We are a retired couple in our mid 70’s who just bought our first RV, a ClassA 38 footer It’s larger than most couples need but we always take our two dogs, a Bengal Cat, and our African Gray parrot that we have had since he was 6 weeks old( he is now 29 yrs old Having bought our RV from a Lazy Days Dealer in Knoxville we received free camping for 270 free days our first year with Thousand Trails For an older retired couple the deal seemed too good ( after buying our RV ) not to try some of them out Also this first year we had no plans to go West Rather wanted to get use to us both pulling a reasonably large rig on smaller roads This hasn’t taken as long as we thought it might since we live in the Smokey Mountains We have enjoyed our first two 14 day stays with Thousand Trails as we find we often need to rest a day or so before our next adventure in the surrounding area- We are both retired Navy with Service Connected Disabilities Anyway, for folks that happen to have received the first year free camping where you get up to 270 days free we would encourage them to use the opportunity We don’t know if we will continue our membership after the freebie runs out as we want to experience as much travel around the country as possible We have to say we do appreciate all the Thousand Trail camp sites that are specifically designated for disabled folks like us if they need them We are still able to use any full hookup sites but some day we may not be able to camp at just any site br With that being said I want you to know while we watch utube on rv camping all the time we definitely enjoy you two as our first choice so thank you for all the effort you put into your productions Safe and enjoyable camping 0:07 Comment from : Kaye Phillips |

Hi, is comments going to handle a couple items? I just got through watching I did belong to thousand trails when I bought one of my RVs down here in Florida I thought it might be a good thing It took me only a couple of years to realize that the way I was camping it didn’t offer me a lot and yes it is very confusing Now for the other thing I’ve lived in Florida for almost 30 years now in the area of citrus county Homosassa Springs, Crystal River and James Asa Manatee Park things I’ve visited many times Are you still in a boat? I’m going up the river all the time a lot further than you folks went And we had a great time but because of certain things lying we couldn’t get off and be alone for a while if we can talk on a private channel somehow I can tell you a lot more but I joined your system 100 I’m still trying to figure out how to use everything that’s on it , I chose you guys after watching some guy trying to talk to first timers His information was so bad you see eight I’ve camp for about 40 to 45 years on and everything except for pop-up camper are used to come early all the way down to Florida and go to Disney World , I lived up in the Northeast It was quite a trip anyways I hope we can find a way to at least talk to each other Take care now and rather than using ROBERT I go by Bob Comment from : Bob Magcrew |

we stayed at lake george escape camping resort in NY which is a thousand trails park the park was very nice and all full hook up sites had up dated elec, water and sewer we also said no to thousand trails due to that we didn't feel as though we would get a return on ore investment with not being full time as of yet we will return there loved it Comment from : Jon Scotto |

Thousand Trails Adventure pass allowed us to stay in Florida for the months of November through March for no additional charges over our original membership and annual dues What is that worth in dollars to you? I am a Thousand Trails member Point of advice - the original grouping of parks included 3 small campground groups that are very old and made for smaller rv’s They include NAACO and Outdoor World The Thousand Trails group (started by Roy Rogers) has larger better sites, easier to get into and better cared for NAACO and the other two are very small and difficult to get a larger rig into Comment from : Sandra Magill |

Glad you let us see your eyes What about FMCA? We got a year for free to one zone when we bought our travel trailer in Oct 2020, but no encore So we used it last year several times, and we will use it this year too However, I am not sure we will renew None of the parks were very nice, and partially due to COVID, they weren’t very welcoming In fact, we stayed in a couple of state parks that only had dump stations, that were overall nicer than the Thousand Trails parks with full hook ups The parks were open, but none of the amenities were running or working We shall see Comment from : Frank Stith |

We ended up getting a thousand trails membership this year Not elite, just a zone pass We took a big trip and if we had paid retail for that trip we were spending almost as much as the zone pass We got a second zone free so now we feel like we can plan more trips this year so its working out well No hesitation to run to Orlando for a weekend now so that is a huge bonus living in Florida ;) Comment from : Elisabeth Airey |
