I’ve been out in la for 4 years and 5 months I love it! I love the food! I love networking! I made friends and I had a bf ! I’m definitely going to get into more media I’m going to school for communications at LAVC It’s taking longer because I have a full time job that was not flexible at the same time lol So I do have a distance job I made friends at parties and my job But use your discernment and keep your circle small but keep your connections in your pocket Lol It was hard at first even living with siblings but I’m doing pretty good I’m a Gemini! If you have no money or your bank account is almost empty apply for food stamps and/or cash benefits I used to live in LB in an Airbnb and I was low on cash I was able to get food stamps by saying that I was homeless It was like a 2-3 day process I recommend applying online and going to the office right away(to get your benefits quicker) I received $192 in stamps a month I also got cash benefits It was only $220(you can get cash back at some stores) The $220 a month may not seem like a lot but if you already good on housing and food it can come in handy when it comes to buying toothpaste, lotion or if you get cash back you can use it to pay your phone bill or for bus fare I also got approved for medical right awayWhen you apply just say that you just moved to LA and you're homeless and/or live in temporary shelter and that you don't have an address You should get the benefits right away depending on how much money you have in your bank account Comment from : Michelle K
