If this are not collectibles coins, and your buying and selling them for what they are, 1oz of Gold… Why does it matter if they are scratch?
Comment from : Francis

kleinster99
Inflation is not transitory That’s very obvious to everyone now Jobs numbers have been manipulated to help bolster the moron Biden and his admin by the leftists
Comment from : kleinster99

Steve
Gold is gold
Comment from : Steve

Danijel Jenko
When you sell the coin you only get paid for the weight of gold Same if you sold gold granulate So scratches shouldn't really matter Unless the buyer intends to resell the coin
Comment from : Danijel Jenko

Ty Leigh
Im more worried about my plastic sleeves having pvc which can erode even Gold i believe
Comment from : Ty Leigh

BELL TUNNEL
Love the look and feel of buffaloes and Maple Leafs—I’ve owned a couple—but I just can’t live with gold encapsulated So now I only own small cast bars that are happy to be held and enjoyed with all of their unique scratches, abrasions, and pour marks
Comment from : BELL TUNNEL

Nafis Mridha
Get to the point man Ur videos get sidetracked too much
Comment from : Nafis Mridha

ToxiicZombee
Gold I think just does alot better than silver so it doesn't matter too much, other than if you have a coin right next to a shinier one if u have rare gold it dont even matter oner bit No one for miles will have his coin next to yours Silver is super soft you have to take care of it
Comment from : ToxiicZombee

Luigi Stacks
@2is1 So I just found that my 1/10 gold maple leafs have a couple of noticeable dings, in the leaf 😢 I’m pretty pissed at myself because I feel like I should’ve noticed it at the LCS But how much does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Thanks in advance!
Comment from : Luigi Stacks

looksmaxxing101
yes it's practically useless, don't worry I'll buy it off of you at 50
Comment from : looksmaxxing101

My experience? It affects the price when you go to an lcs They'll use every excuse to offer less I've not tried to sell a dinged coin to one of the big boys online They will ask if it's BU, so I'm confident I'd be offered less I just received a 1/4 oz BU Philharmonic from Liberty Coin It has a very noticeable ding on the edge It had been dropped I suppose it could have slip through their quality control, but it's gold and I really doubt it I'm debating on whether to call and return it, but I'm sure I'll have to pay for shipping/insurance, and it really won't be worth it I know it's just bullion, but it rubs me wrong when I order one thing and receive another I have to travel today- I think I'll stop at a large lcs in Bellingham, WA and show the coin and ask if they'd offer less

22 kt : 90 and Sterling Silver : : 24 kt : 999 Silver Being a new person to the hobby who bought a 2021 Morgan on pretty much Day 1 of my hobby back in April along with a heap of older Morgans, I tip my hat to a bit of copper in the mix Heck, I don't even mind those old 50 gold coins from American Mint
Comment from : Dr Thomas Rasberry

Oleg Petelevitch

Jason Garman
Where did you get that capsule for the 1 oz maple leaf?
Comment from : Jason Garman

valkry007
The Liberty pales in comparison to the pure gold Maple Leaf or Buffaloe The Maple Leafs are always PERFECT, quality control is outstanding
Comment from : valkry007

Goldeneye70
The Buffalo has an uneven rim, that's a fanned edge, very common for buffalos
Comment from : Goldeneye70

Goldeneye70
anyone had trouble with apmex? I purchased a 1985 1 oz gold Maple BU, the front or the obverse was heavily scratched but the coin is still so beautiful, they are dodging me on a return Gold is gold but it should've been sold as scruffy, it's still an oz of Gold though
Comment from : Goldeneye70

younglo3000

Comment from : D Lucca

andrewmontreal
my 1st gold coin has a slight line scratch and the seller told me it won`t effect the value and a jeweler told me the same thing as he weighted the coin and it came to the same weight,,,what baffles me the most on a lot of videos of stackers,,they have all their coins/bars on a hardtop table, moving it around on the surface or just dropping it hard on the table,,logic
Comment from : andrewmontreal

Coin dealers r full of shit Here in Canada unless it's a collectible coin, they will give you the same amount in weight for gold be it 1oz maple 1oz eagle or 1oz of a piece of gold

Robbie Hollywood
Gold is Gold Coins are meant for spending At the end of the day, that’s their purpose Sure, we can preserve them in air tights, but… Gold is Gold It’s not so much the shape or the stamp… It’s the content of the metal I care about!
Comment from : Robbie Hollywood

Michael Meacham
Some of the best most expensive collectibles look like trash, especially silver, because of father time but if it's 999 who cares, it's still with it's weight in silver or goldspeaking ofwhy are American gold eagles the most expensive but comparatively has less actual pure gold weight wise?🤷🏼‍♂️humans putting popular opinion on things Common sense would tell me I'd rather have 999 gold ounce than gold that's 955 gold ounce for the same price or morehumans make everything dumb and difficult
Comment from : Michael Meacham

Michael Meacham
If it gets a ding or scratch but still is a true troy ounce of goldwhat's the difference looking at it as subjective art and an ounce of gold is two different things opinion and monetary/liquid cash etc
Comment from : Michael Meacham

Jay Ballard
That's a very nice high dollar knife you have as well!! Well done!!
Comment from : Jay Ballard

Dave
"Gold is gold" people say If I have more than a micro scratch on my gold coin it goes back to the dealer I returned a coin to SD because the assay was in poor condition I'm a frequent customer so think they're pretty understanding with my annoyingly high standards
Comment from : Dave

ApplezToOranges
Waiting for $1600 dip! Than I grab

You probably have so many gold coins that you could afford to make a video dinging two of them to make a video for us! 😉 Come on! Do it!

Hugo Stiglitz
I know a dealer that doesn't even look over the coin I'm selling, to keep him distracted I put a number of coins on the table and we get to negotiating right away To prevent damage or blemishes to an eagle, don't touch the eagle with your fingers, only on the edges The oils in your fingertips can react with the copper and gold and blemish the coin For the Buffalo it's the finned rims or thinner edge on one side and a thicker or wider edge on the other side, that's called a finned rim, pretty common for the Buffalo and some dealers don't know about it They think it's a damaged coin when it's straight from the mint I will buy any slightly damaged gold coin for a discount or melt value
Comment from : Hugo Stiglitz

ApplezToOranges
Saw a little scratch on my pre 33 gold Indian coin! Ouch 🤕
Comment from : ApplezToOranges

How about opening a coin in an assay card? Yes or no? (1 oz, 5 9’s Klondike gold rush - Canadian mint)
Comment from : Alex Pearson

Paul Harris
I saw the beautiful coins and the knife and thought “oh no, his not going to do what I think he’s going to do”

I have a random year (2013) "BU" Maple that came with a ding! Will make it easier to sell when that time comes 🤣 it just hurts a little
Comment from : DudeDave

Goldcic Vibefel
Got a new one for $1,900 & a US Pt 2021 new eagle first out of a mint roll for $50 over spot when below $1,800 the day after the newbie panic sell-off Long time LCD was overloaded with metal Probably short of $ A wonderful experience and helps with$ cost averaging and maybe if I sell some high cost numbered bars at end of year can offset some LTCG from high prices of last year of other asset types before Biden raises LTCG rate for this year Not much but the CG will go up especially after record unemployment & helicopter stimulus liquidity QEs & not QEs from before
Comment from : Goldcic Vibefel

Robert Tyrrell
Do they matter? Only if you're numismatist If its investment for gold value? Buy bullion ingot/ bar If the SHTF or Gov't recalls gold? It doesn't matter if its lady liberties face or buffaloes arse Its an OZ of gold Only worth what its worth Why over pay for Oz of gold?
Comment from : Robert Tyrrell

HD Dyna lowrider
Bullion coins dent dont matter but numistamtic coins it hurt value

I don't know who needs to hear this despite the economic crisis, this is still a good time to invest in Gold and crypto
Comment from : Anderson George

shekatagani
The more pure the Gold coin… the softer it is, That’s why the American Gold Eagles are harder and therefore more durable “More scratch proof”
Comment from : shekatagani

Des Morris
Bro your killing it! I can’t keep up!! Been buying mostly bitcoin since they have dipped so much but I might have to grab another 1/10 Eagle or something on this gold dip 🤟🏾
Comment from : Des Morris

Mike Baxter
It's become pretty clear that the Fed doesn't have to do anything, they just talk about doing something and the markets react Metals, equities, and crypto all rise and fall when Powell speaks The only thing I know for sure is that I want assets in my name, not dollars in the bank
Comment from : Mike Baxter

Bob Wojcikowski
If it's not graded scratches don't really matter

I’ve got a Buffalo that has the same little edge ding It’s my first and only 1 oz gold coin I bought it online and didn’t notice it at first I initially felt bumbed about it but got over it fast It still is beautiful and plan to hold and pass to my kids so no big deal I bought in a dip recently and also got it for under 2K I still think I got it for a good price
Comment from : Eric Parnell

Cache Katz
If anyone doesn't want their old nasty dinged up gold I'll take it off their hands for a discount price of course
Comment from : Cache Katz

Lamarr Avery
I pass on dinged or scratched gold coins I was at my bullion dealer store a year ago and I asked for a gold buffalo and the dealer showed one to me and it was scratched and looked like if was handled without gloves so I passed on it

Spokane Silver Stacker
My gold bullion I’m not too worried about having scratches on I mainly get the gold only for the metal content/value My silver on the other hand, I don’t like scratches on those Mostly because I’m usually keeping it for myself and prefer to have nicer looking ones Or when I’m selling it people or dealers they could tend to be more picky and not like the damage But if I had a roll of generic rounds, Buffalo, sunshine mint, etc… and they had a few dings and scratches on them all I wouldn’t be upset
Comment from : Spokane Silver Stacker

Amfear Liathmor
I don't own any gold coins with any scratches or dings

Comment from : AggiePhil

Dave
to me scratches do not matter unless it's a low-mint numismatic coin where the grade will greatly change the value, unlike maples they get a premium from being a coin and I buy milk spotters all the time

Rick Gee Profit Coins!
I haven't really added much to my stack lately And I don't feel like I've missed out on anything Something is going to happen soon I think, but I'm more confused than ever at this point I'd like to see gold purchase prices down near $1,800, I'd pick up 5oz right away
Comment from : Rick Gee Profit Coins!

Pistol Packing Pilot
I know some small dings and nicks don’t matter on a standard bullion coin Perhaps it’s my OCD I, (unlike our “Fishy” friend), keep everything in air-tites! I guess I’m just anal enough that it matters to me Lol Great video
