1 I think a 10 return on investment is a best case scenario; 5-6 us more realistic br2 Parking money in low yield savings accounts is a bummer - instead, put it in a low fee total stock market ETF (stay clear of mutual funds as you may be taxed on unrealized gains) br3 Vanguard Funds are an example of low fee funds br4 All of this is my opinion and not investment advice Comment from : Robert Young |

Great advice Early in my career I saw people that couldn't take very generous early retirement packages because they had no savings What??? I vowed to save the max and never regretted it 30 years later when my company declared bankruptcy I took the package and that basically put me over the finish line I had to work another 5 years to get to 59 1/2 but there was minimal stress knowing a good retirement income was waiting Comment from : Joe Prato |
