I just saw a grade 30 one go for 3000 on ebay so it wasnt as far off as people making it out to be Comment from : Inmyhead1980 |
Old man started losing it there uh yes there is something better than a crisp 100 dollar bill uh a 1,000 dollar bill😊 Comment from : Jerrett Yaccarino |
3:18 00 thats crazy that even the seller probably didnt know due to the age of a peice of currency like that but still the serial did look slightly different in font or out of round zero or curves in it's numbering but still- that is super suprises me they did not hold a super strong magnet to see if hopefully it is swayed towards the magnet (meaning that hopefully it is not easily faked with magnetic ink or ferrous meaning iron containing) Comment from : B Sanchez |
I really don't understand why these sellers don't have people independently analyze what they bring in to have a more firm idea of what a fair market value is- Comment from : William Barr |
Rick, you need to keep that "if you ask for more, I am going to ask you to leave" to yourself You would have said that and I would have left That's disrespectful Comment from : Justhor |
"I'll give you $2,500 If you ask for 2,600 I'm going to ask you to get out of my store" I would of left right there and just sold it at a coin/money show for at least twice as much(easy) Comment from : Luke A |

The way Rick talks to some people with that counter dividing him he would never talk like that face to face out of his shop with anyone cuz he's so fat and pathetic he would never win a fight against anyone It hurts watching this guy on the show, he's rich off of ripping people off during tough times and still has the audacity to be rude or even ask egotistical when he's not good at anything he just calls in other people to lowball these people He doesn't create anything amazing or do anything the guy just rips people off Is it any surprise why a man with that much money has been divorced so much That's why even his own son doesn't want to spend time with him, he's that kid in school that NOBODY liked Comment from : The Voice Of Truth |

So it costs about $100 to get a note graded If he had invested in getting it graded, he would have known it was worth about 7K With Rick usually 60 offer, that's $4200 Bottom line he threw away about $1700 (less the $100 grading cost) Comment from : George |

2000 is loooow The newest Friedberg paper money pricing catalog (industry standard pricing book for paper money) has a 7G-Chicago 1918 FRN in 20 NON-NET grade at $17,500 retail That bill there graded 25 NET Pricing should've begun at around 20Gs minus 40 (at most) due to its issues/repairs NET means that 25 is a net grade of the bill minus any flaws outside of standard circulation wear Bills that are repaired (examples: new edges, new corners, repaired tears, and closed pinholes) will get a NET grade instead of the plain numeric grade that the bill would've gotten had it merely been folded during the course of circulation (honest wear) However, that NET grade only should've dropped the retail price down by about 30-40 for a starting price according to Rick's own expert in another video (Pete Treglia) At a 40 discount, that bill's retail was still around 12Gs and after Rick's own 40 cut for overhead, that still would've amounted to around 7Gs for a smart seller, not 2Gs brbrIn other words, that dude legitimately got taken for an extra 5 grand at absolute worst NEVER take any coin or bill into a pawn shop lest it's graded by PCGS (paper and coins) or PMG(paper)/NGC(coins) This dude here had no idea what grade that bill was in and the retail price of said grade Rick gave a dude 1G once for a 1934 $500 FRN in another video Only getting 2Gs for that 1918 $1000 is the seller's fault That bill is a lot rarer than a 1934 $500, no matter what condition They're rarer even in 25 NET grade than a 1934 FRN is in 55 grade The seller in this case even pointed out its condition, which actually isn't that bad for a 100 yr old bill of that denomination That was also stupid because he didn't know it was a common grade for such a bill You never point out flaws when you're trying to sell something ABC -- always be closing Comment from : nonplayerzealot4 |
