Hello Steve I have been studying English for about 2 years and 6 months Before that I was approximately in level A2 and now I’m in level B2 I studied on my own In my opinion everyone can learn a new language on their own, especially with internet’s help All they need to have is willingness and patience Now I speak 3 languages Greek, Albanian and English and I’m learning German and a bit Japanese

What level does one have to be to use LingQ? Can a beginner use it? From what I have seen it seems that one needs to have an intermediate knowledge of the language? How can a beginner actually use it? I cant seem to find that information Is it a case of choosing a text/audio and studying it multiple times? At some point if one knows nothing about grammar and other nuances of the language, just acquiring vocab will not help If you could advise, thanks

I tried learning from LingQ but it got me very overwhelmed It bombarded me with content and the structure doesn't seem clear I have been learning a bit of korean from TTMIK but here the very first beginner lesson was too hard for me Also you can't scroll the dialogues, you have to click on a button to go to the next page but it won't let you unless you have learned all the words on the first one It got very frustating for me Not recommended at allbrI would wish for a much better user interfacebrI think the most important thing while starting to learn a language is to find a structure You can't provide thousands of videos and expect a beginner to find their way That's exactly why youtube is not the best place to learn a language It gets demotivating quickly TTMIK does provide a structure in their books and pdf lessons so for now I will continue to learn from there
