Stop making people pay into social security brRich people shouldnt qualify for medicare or social security or tax funded health insurance or welfare Only the poor should Let people keep their money and save for their own retirement, not steal from them to pay for rich peoples retirement Let people keep their money and buy their own health insurance, not steal from them and force them to pay for rich peoples healthcare

If you take early retirement and care for your elderly parent receiving a Medicaid benefits and issued a w2 for those benefits does the income limit apply for these benefits? IRS 2014-7 waive such benefits
Comment from : Brenda Cunningham

Mr Devin I am so interested in your orientation about our Socil Security benefit I am from PR which has the same Federal Benefit as all States and wanted to explain that I lost my job because of the COVID 19 at my age of 61 because I labor in the Hotel Industry & Tourism in PR has been close by Air & Cruise Ships The situation is if I retire at 62 my SS statement says I will receive $1,300 but if I retire at 65 and 10 month (born 1959) I will recieve $1,800 If I decide to retire at 65 & 10 month but do not find a job within these period of years, will my retirement stay at 1,800 or will it be less than retiring at 62 of age on $1,300 according to present statment of SS?

Whitney Mohrhauser
I believe that the earning limits is too low for today So saying it's generous is horrible statement I would say that the earning limits should be $2000 per monthly income The earning limits must reflect reality because the dollar purchasing power is less
Comment from : Whitney Mohrhauser

Olga Valassidis
Everyone should get social security when they're at the age of 70,

With SS supposedly in trouble, I never understood why they did not remove the cap on annual earnings Seemsbrthey could collect the tax no matter how much an individual makes That would go a long way in securing the long term profitability of SS
Comment from : Chipper

Cynthia Baker

Will the stimulous money Trump gave us affect our medicare We get extra help with medicare, they pay our monthly medicare cost and help us with prescriptions What is the limit of money we can make for 2 people in fla
Comment from : Anita barnes

Thomas Sherlowsky
I started receiving SS after I turned 68 ( 3 years beyond full retirement age) I read that I have no limits on how much I can earn but but if it exceeds $25000 I have to pay taxes on my SS So I do have a maximum I can earn before getting penalized That's before I have to take RMD (required minimum distribution) from my IRA What gives!
Comment from : Thomas Sherlowsky

Hazel
The government has no sense at all no one can live on 771 a monththey should boost everyone to 2,000 a month that's on disabilitybecause I don't see rent going down I don't see lights going down water or foodeverything is going up every year and our checks stay the same maybe we should protest
Comment from : Hazel

David Smith

Why the earning cap? Why is it that AFTER you make $134,000 (? )you don't have to pay ss tax on anything above that? Seems like it SHOULD be the other way around!! I've never made that much -so imagine my surprise when I was trying to figure out why big corporations pay no or very little taxes and came across it Seems like social security would have no problem if EVERYBODY Paid ss tax on ALL of their earnings like 98 of us do Only seems fair considering it takes a basic amount to live
Comment from : Lilly

James Veach
You say setting limits on social security people keep them out of being in poverty what's the excuse for SSI people if people on SSI even try to work they take half of their income for working I'm on SSI and I tried to find a part-time job but just from having a part-time job they was going to take my SSI don't people on SSI have a right to try to stay out of poverty to which the government keeps us in with their rules
Comment from : James Veach

Henry Mayberry
Social Security is paid for by the taxpayer The politicians are allowed to double dip You serve one term in Congress and Senate you get a lifetime pension in a lifetime free healthcare If the politicians in the steal all the money and didn't and they paid it back Everybody will have a decent wage to live off of when they retire The government controls too much If you get a pension from an employer that's great and you should be able to collect your Social Security cuz you paid into it And if you still want to work shouldn't be let you should be allowed to make as much as you want without being penalized
Comment from : Henry Mayberry

Cynthia Carter
Do you automatically go over to SS from SSDI when you reach the age of retirement
Comment from : Cynthia Carter

Scott Lambert
I believe u should contribute to your own social security with a match and u control it yourself
Comment from : Scott Lambert

Theresa Coleman
I'm on ssi instead of my social Security because even though I had my 24 credits but it wasn't within the 10 years prior to filing disability so I only get 77100 a month to live on it's so hard
