I do not like the term mental retardation It has become to be known as stupid No one is actually stupid We all have minds and some degree of intelligence I Q is very difficult measure The test do not measure I Q of a person It only measures on how well one can do on the test I myself had been given I Q test in certain times in my childhood and I was diagnosed one time with profound mental retardation at age five years However, I have earned a master's degree in counseling I was given a low score because I did not speak or do anything during testing All I did was pick up and drop a pencil over and over again If that happened in today's time I would probably be given the diagnosis of autism But I did not let the misdiagnosis stop me I later on learned to talk and through help in special classes and teachers I caught up with others and went pass some others I earn my masters in counseling and have been working with people with autism for over 20 years Many of my older clients have been diagnosed with profound or serve mental retardation Over time I have found them to be very intelligent I like the intellectually disabled because it says there is intelligence in the person I believe that intelligence can only be realized over time and cannot be measured on a test for many people

So you wouldn't be about to tell if a child has mental retardation until they get to 100 IQ at a certain age cause my daughter in pre school was at 50 out 70 only in some areas because she can't communicate emotionally and has a visual memory retardation but not intellectually so what could that be?

Thanks for the video just a doubt How will IQ be measured accurately if the person is hypersensitive ? He/she might fare poorly in the IQ test, not due to ID but rather due to an array of other issues like ADHD, hypo/hyper sensitivity, etc
