My wife and I, both in our 40s, married 14 years, 2 kids, only make 155K a year combined together Only debt is the mortgage We wouldn't know what to do with $400K a year I'd like to see these people live on what we do what could I do with this money to bring in more revenue for to cater for the kids?

I admire the financial independence of people, But you can live better if you work a little more After watching this I think there are people out there, on the extreme, who plan to die early just to be able to retire early To each their own but to me retirement isn't just about not having to work, it's about having the freedom to do whatever you might reasonably want, such as travel, buying things, enjoying life, etc I don't think I could retire with less than $3m in income generating investments, maybe $2m at the very minimum I plan to work until I'm at least 45

The equity thing is cool but don’t forget about the interest paid over those years It will be wayyy over the amount made on appreciation or the principal paid off unless you pay it off helllla fast

1- the income from renting are taxed so your 2400 a year are less 2- where is the cost of the loan? The bank gives you 80000 with no interests?? Idon't think so 3- the value of the property does not always go up, same as for the rent
