Note: We talked to 1usmus after the video and it seems like the Radeon Monster Profile didn't work as well with our Intel processor The Radeon Monster Profile tweaks Re-Bar which can significantly improve performance, but at times this seems to conflict with the Intel microcode leading to worse performance If you have an all AMD build it should be even better -AC Comment from : Linus Tech Tips |

guys dont play inlisted, the war thunder people made it and they WILL try to mysteriously make your wallet dissapear as you slowly sacrifice your soul to the snail Comment from : Boggletrop |

In Greece at the moment an RTX 3060 ti is almost a whooping 1k euro while an AMD Radeon RX6650 XT is at 360 euros 😅of course i went for AMD while I was really strong on the nvidia brand Let's see! Comment from : hyarin123 |

Nvidia is becoming like apple is to laptopsbrGood hardware, bullshit marketing, overpriced, rampant fanboy normies who believe PR Comment from : Aza-Industries |
This seems like a lot of work when going with AMD i understand as PC enthusiasts tweaking and optimization is what we want out of our builds But still, I feel like this is a little redundant if you need to pay for extra software for a cheaper card to run properly Comment from : GrizzlyM850 |

Im stuck on smthn I want to get the 7800xt for 1440p gaming but i also want the 4070ti Which should I get? Comment from : MikeTheDude |

Actually Nvidia is better Against my better judgement I upgraded from a Nvidia video card to a faster AMD card and this is what I found I never had problems with a Nvidia driver but the latest AMD driver causes the sound to skip You would think that with all the complaints about AMD drivers they would get the message and fix the problems but apparently they don't care Comment from : Bill |

Do those new AMD GPUs support the physx technology in older games or the hairworks technology? I'm planning to switch from Nvidia GTX 1060 to 7900 xtx and I don't want to loose those features in for example Batman games or Mirror's Edge Comment from : HarmonicaPL |
AMD GPUs cannot end or Linux users (like me) would have to use Nvidia and their shitty proprietary drivers that dont support Wayland properly 🫤 Comment from : Matheus Ferreira |

I still love how Linus is using that 8-bitdo controller for the teleprompter Comment from : Terminok 201 |

4:18 - 9:40 Certified AMD experience Mess with drivers, curves, clocks, and voltages instead of just clicking "play" Comment from : Satoshi Araki |

Only problem AMD has is AMDs Software Problems No sense in paying less for "more" if you cant even properly use the card I'd rather get a proper RTX card and not have to worry about my warranty every 2 weeks Comment from : Organhändler Seb |

I notice its very important in AMD which brand card u getbrbrMy go-to has been sapphire All my temps have always been low, never any issues, and overal quite significantly higher performance than lower quality amd producersbrbrOverclocking and keeping a very steady system is so easy with the sapphire cards that u can comfortably pump out alot more fps than all these basic amd reference card benchmarksbrbrbrJust my 2 cents Comment from : stefan Th |
I only buy used AMD cards Last get was a 6700xt for $200 I use it for stable diffusion and gamingbrbrNever once had a single driver problembrTurned down the clock speeds 20 in adrenaline It draws 140 watts and scores near the same or better as a 3060ti on a furmark 1080p test Comment from : King Trasher |
I keep hearing AMD gpu's are better, yet once I bought oneall I hear was "don't work well with emulators, not great for Plex, subpar for video editing" I always said I'd go Nvidia next time Comment from : Ross Mc Carthy |

Sorry as a casual gamer with a high v cache amd cpu as soon as you went to the overclocking wibdow i quit the video, not every PC gamer overclocks or wants to! Stop excluding us its dumb! 😢 Comment from : Thomas Shears |

Listen to me guys,brbr2 weeks ago i´ve bought a new rig with an rx6800 msi card /R7 5800x / B550 MSI Tomahawk Board / 850 watt Be quiet Platinum PSU / 32 gb ram corsair and got nothing but problems with the GPUbrI could start games and play for like 3 minutes, before everything crashed and went back to windows with the notification of driver timeoutsbrbr1)Beforehand i updated my biosbr2)Fresh windows 11 home installbr3)After updating windows, installed chipset drivers for b550 and of course latest GPU driveer for the cardbr4)left bios untouched (No oc or something whatsoever)brbrbrI have tried ALL recommended solutions from the net, including fucking around in the windows registry for that mpo crap, which ultimately lead to games not starting at allbrafter one full weekend of troubleshooting to the point of desperation, i sent that crappy amd card back and got me a nvidia card, which justworks out of the box, ya know?brbr16gb of ram dont do shit, when those drivers are the crappiest to ever exist brGet nvidia and save you the potential trouble!brtrust me, not worth it brbrThe 3minutees that the card allowed me to play (lol) were gorgeous! Max ultra settings, 1440p/144 hz, which shows thee potentcy of the card Its a beast! But AMD just does not deliver ANY Solutions whatsoever brbrI´ve warned you get nvidia Comment from : Gerd Grübel |
I upgraded from a 3060 to a 6900xt Got the 6900xt for $580 brand new on Amazon I would have had to go 3070 for that price with half the VRAM and less performance I have had no issues, in fact I’ve only had a better experience Obviously the 3060 and 6900xt are not a comparison, however, my upgrade options absolutely were a comparison, and Nvidia lost badly So many people just ignore the fact that the drivers have gotten much better I truthfully think people ignore this so they can justify themselves spending way more for Nvidia But at the end of the day, get whatever you want, you are the only person who knows what you want and how much you want to spend! Comment from : 3GDub |
I got burned by AMD GPUs with the RX 480 and RX 580s after watching your video claiming the RX 580 is the best bang for the buck for people wanting to game and still be able to do pro work I got 6x RX 580 8GB, 2x RX 580 4GB, and 2x RX 480 4GB for the family only to find out rendering software no longer supports the AMD RX 4xx/5xx cards I was so mad at your video and AMD that I am not even looking at AMD for any sort of work machines Comment from : Angel Noe |
I just bought a rx6700xt still in its factory sealed box for $200 from a coworker, so I guess my first builds gonna be amd Comment from : Breakfest Bob |
i like how im watching this while I'm asking for my RX 580 2048sp warranty to the seller because it kept on crashing for every 5 minutes Comment from : BoghetSpaghet |
i remember being disappointed by the HD 3870 took out a bit more one semester to build a X-Fire system only to have it shamed by a single 8800gts the drivers were awful, and the HD 4970 upgrade left me crying with a card that bricked itself after a year or so of ownership Comment from : chris fuentes |
I love all of the idiots that Complain about Nvidias VRAM and still buying their cards AMD has an alternative thats mostly cheaper and faster with more VRAM Drivers are fantastic especially on the 6000 series Except for Productivity there's almost no reason to go Nvidia Frame Gen isnt much adopted and struggle from Input lag that feels like turning on Vsync Nvidia Reflex isnt able to iron that out enough yet It's really mind boggling how much Brand loyalty People have for some company fkin them over every year Comment from : SCYNO |
I chose rtx 3070 over rx 6700xt because of only one thing brThe ray tracing capability and dlss brI sacrificed the 12gb of vram brThe lesser price because I care about these two things brIf amd was good in ray tracing brAnd If fsr was head to head with dlss brBut sadly not Comment from : iikon - ايكون |
that r9 380 story is rough, esp since I loved my lil strix 380 I knew it wasn't great, but for playing fallout and Skyrim and Minecraft, which is like 70 of my gaming even now, it worked almost flawlessly, and I only upgraded last year when a buddy of mine gave me a hybrid cooled 1080 he wasn't using anymore for mining Comment from : Tony the Not Tiger |

i like amd but i not a big time gamer i do little Comment from : Bennie Irvine |

naw Of course AMD has better FPS per dollar performance But FPS per dollar isn't the only factor I want low latency, and for that, AMD has nothing that competes with nvidia reflex Comment from : SB |
Radeons just cost too much and availability is too little Comment from : Keeneri |
6000 series of amd is better than Nvidia 3000 series There is just no question Better value and better Performance at the price If you have Nvidia youre running into vram issues nowdays with almost every New triple A title It's just a joke at this point what Nvidia offers Youll get RT cores and cant use them bc ur vram cant even handle RAYTRACED games with their 8GB Comment from : SCYNO |
To be completely honest if you have an AMD CPU and turn on SAM the improvement will be even much larger with an OC and an RX 6800XT comfortably beats an 3080 while the 6800 even comes close to mathcing the 3080 Comment from : SCYNO |
Is there an Equivalent for Nvidia GPU's? Comment from : AJF Gaming |

So, since you used that program to get the AMD close to a 3090ti, can the same thing be applied to the 3090ti? See how far the 3090ti can go! Comment from : RiccoFX |

My theory is proven over and over i DO NOT overclock the cpu or gpu and have never had ANY problems with stability heat has never been a problem Comment from : comp wizard |

Well went team red today and I'm impressed with the color RX6700xt took the place of a RTX3050, and the colors are deep F1 2022, that was impressive, I almost beat my laptime within three laps instead of 10-15 The visuals were sweet, crisp and very clear, colors were defined For such a noob as I and even I could tell the difference between the 3050 and the 6700 The VR experience was well worth the effort for a card swap Cosmos just dialed right in, and just worked, and way better than the team green I got Actually feel I did a well deserved engine swap, and replaced some bushings Feels like the car sticks better to the road in F1, could just be the colors For some t'was bells, for me it's the colors (of course it is!) With a 3080ti way above budget, at least I can do e-sports with team red and still eat real food When I start winning, I can go green Every race starts at a red light, guess that's where I am at, the red light (traffic light!!! Not "District!") Comment from : pistonwristpin1 |

wont have money for a 7000 series cardswill 6700xt be better for 7600x? Comment from : Tahzib Hussaini |
My 6900xt runs at 2727mhz and core at 1150, mpt profile made with core 350 and total 380 with a 12 increased powertarget lands me on 420 watt power draw max usually lands at 280-330w consumption great for gaming :) Comment from : hansis corner |

You forgot to mention that AMD is always fucks up, be it drivers or be it dx11 performance Some of the issues remain unfixed for years And this snowballs into gamers and developer preferring Nvidia, which in turn results in bigger investments in "green team" It is hard to break the cycle and it is admirable how much AMD has achieved with limited resources when overcoming a looser image But from the standpoint of consumer, I recently tried out high-end rx 6 series and immediately regretted I was unpleasantly surprised that some of the old games (which I happen to be playing most) performs equal or worse than old trusted 1080Ti This is 1440p Those cards are both highest-tier, but 6 years apart If you looking for solid, headache free card you like before have only one choice of GPU But if you want to save 10 of the price and willing to deal with random shenanigans, go AMD It is also unfortunate that rarely this is addressed in benchmarks and reviews like this one Comment from : Sarunas |
I always use my gpu at 75-80 load just so I don't have to listen to the fan spinning wildly Comment from : RealityCheck |
Those exact drivers (2252 and later) completely broke video playback in VRchat, causing instant crashing until recently and still today they don't work properly Amd drivers are still unstable, they have just optimised for the popular titles that reviewers test Comment from : HelloThere1313 |

I work as a game developper, mostly coding 3D rendering I’ll be talking purely about my experience with dirvers and stabilitybrMy workstation mostly runs on an AMD GPU (I have a stack of different GPUs at hand to switch quickly when needed) Almost all bug reports I get from players comes from people with AMD GPUs but it’s not entirely AMD’s fault I’d say that most of the time it comes from us doing something with the 3D API which is kind of not ideal Nvidia drivers are super forgiving and accept lots of crap and it’s only when running on AMD that you realize you did something wrong About 5 of the times it’s a real dirver/hardware issue and we have to implement dumb workarounds until the driver gets fixedbrWith recent GPUs and drivers, I feel like these issues happen way less often The main problem would be that 95 of our team runs on Nvidia so we have way less chance to spot issues internally on AMD before they land in the hands of a player Comment from : Guillaume Gris |
so you pay let's say 150$ less for AMD, but:br- you have to spend you time overclocking the cardbr- you take risk by doing so Rather small risk nowadays, but stillbr- you need to buy good, and expensive additional cooling, right? Comment from : Jan Kowalski |

AMD deserves a thanks for not asking for crazy high prices Comment from : SUPREETH |

My recommendation is if you live in Asia, the Intel Arc A750 is getting price drops and it's pricing is getting near Gtx1660 or sometime Rtx3050 At this point Arc A750 is best it can beat 3050 and Rx6500xt Comment from : Anirudh Panchal |
