How to learn a language:brbr1 Be consistentbr - do your homework (if there is to much work to do in one sitting, spread the workload out, but make sure you complete it all before the due datebr - do ALL your work (including any extra credit) br br2 Use quizlet or flash cardsbr br3 Immerse yourself br - change the settings on your phone to the specific language br - put on that languages subtitles when watching a tv show/moviebr - don’t be afraid to get a tutor br - watch shows/movies in that language brbr4 Practice with other people [people in your class, or your teacher]brbr5 Write in that language Comment from : LucyNeff

Anybody have tips for poetry in a foreign language? I’ve been living in Québec learning French for the past five weeks at a cégep and we aren’t allowed to use any English at all so I’ve learnt quite a lot but I have a poetry class where we read poems from the 1600s-1900s and we sometimes look at poems that nobody has ever figured out the meaning and when I’m called on I have quite a lot of difficulty explaining my perception or even just understanding what it would say in English Also any tips for written essay tests that you don’t know the topics for in advance?
