I can't thank you enough! I am humbly starting a biz I was so lost on how to make clutch purses Probably more afraid than I need to be but, I just couldn't figure out how to attach the vinyl piece to the zipper since I couldn't use pins I have double-sided tape but didn't want to gum up my needle I'm going to get the craft kind first thing in the morning Thanx again! :) Comment from : peace_be_still4610 |

They get stitched over when you're sewing around the perimeter of the pouch If you can still see them when you flip the pouch right side out, you can just remove them They're just a temporary stitch Comment from : Professor Pincushion |
Re-stitch Comment from : Barrett Pastor |
That should say did you rest i Comment from : Barrett Pastor |
What did you do With the baste stitches? Did you rest Comment from : Barrett Pastor |
It looks nicer and it keeps the seam allowance tucked under the fabric so you don't open your zipper pouch and see seam allowance Comment from : Professor Pincushion |
Seems like a fun little project I think I will have to try this! Thanks! Comment from : Virginia Ivins |

have you checked overstock I haven't used this machine but the Brother LX2500 Heavy Duty 17-Stitch seems to have some good reviews on their site It's refurbished, but I've had some good luck with overstock's refurbished items before and you can sometimes get more bang for your buck This one is about $70, but definitely look at the reviews posted there Comment from : Professor Pincushion |
you can do that as well I'm demonstrating a different way that supposedly will give you a neat, more defined corner Comment from : Professor Pincushion |
I would think it's water proof To be sure, read the fabric information tag on the bolt and it should give you the care instruction Comment from : Professor Pincushion |
Could you possibly use this fabric to create a hidden pocket into a bathing suit? It seems as if this fabric is waterproof? Comment from : MissNaturalMystery |
@professorpincushion hi! I'm looking into buying a sewing machine that is maximum 100$ but all of the ones I look at that are in my price range have HORRIBLE reviews Do you have any suggestions? Comment from : FivesPlays |
Why did you make 3 separate seams when sewing the edges together? Why can't you just turn at the corners? Comment from : AChickNamedSteve Smith |
nice video, just a note from own experience, dont use tape if you sew right sides together, the risk of having the tape beeing visible by turning it right side out is very big, or you have to make sure you stitch further than the tape is Comment from : Marcel Bilow |
Love this Coin Purse and the fabric you chose to make it!!!!! I can't wait to sew a bunch for gifts!! Comment from : cameodove |
Thank you so much!! Comment from : mscurlypixie |
