While I do acknowledge that there seems to be a trend with a lot of the deaths that people attribute to the smiley face killers, I have a really hard time believing that there is a widespread group of people who are doing this in an organized manner Large groups and networks of people require methods of communication that often leave traces and footprints in some way, shape or form Even if police weren't able to uncover the entirety of the operation, it wouldn't make sense to assume that nobody in this entire supposedly huge operation hasn't gotten caught doing something illegal yet and hasn't had their devices searched Law enforcement knows about pretty much every gang or organized crime group or cult in America at this point because of the freedom of information act and the other NSA bullshit that was rolled out after 9/11, so I don't think it would be possible for a group to be specifically targeting people on a mass scale and having specific signs and rules and things like that without them having left some type of Trace somewhere over the entire time that this has supposedly been going onbrbrI do believe that there may be a serial killer or a couple or small group of less than five people who may have originally been doing the smiley face murders, and now they have copycats across the country It makes more sense to me that this would be either copycats or just a single person or a single small group of two to three people rather than a huge organize syndicate Though I really do think that some of these things are just misattributed or copycats
