I was lucky enough to see David Roth do the Retention of Vision coin vanish and OMG was that man the ultimate master I have a signed copy of his book that I cherish brbrRoth was a coin manipulator like no other I've ever seen He had a bit of a cardboard persona but his patter for each effect was good and that's all that really mattered If you could mix Roth's physical skill with the persona of someone like a Copperfield ( another David ) you'd have a performer like none ever seen before brbrbrDavid

There's one coin vanish that is really convincing because there's barely any motion in making the coin vanish You're hand is just holding the coin and covering it fast enough and reveal This works by only using the thumb by pushing the coin really fast while your other fingers are relaxed making it fooling

Good one! :) Another, even more visual one is the one where, in front of the spectators the coin is slid down the hand and stops just before it hits the palm of the other hand With correct timing and movement, the flicker frequency of the human eye (and cameras provided they are not super high frame rate) makes it look like it is deposited in the palm before the hand closes This is really epic If done in a mirror it even fools the eye of the practitioner Using a mirror to practice is one of the keys to developing good timing Silver coloured coins work best due to the contrast for this one
