I really like your videos, I am curious why not open a bank account in the phil-- and just send US dollars to the account and once you need the money wait and pick the date and time to convert the money in that account if you have enough safety net there ---you can take advantage of best times There are many great banks to choose from there

I send money thru Facebook One f my brothers retired in the Philippines I am paying a caretaker to maintain my house there We have Wells Fargo accounts Whenever I need money to pay my caretaker I message him in the FB, he takes money from his bank there, give the money to my caretaker and pay him back at his Wells Fargo account in the US No fee, no problem

I agree that Xoom has the lowest exchange rate among your examples; however, it is the most convenient service for me I tried Remitly in the past because of their high exchange rate but had issues each time I sent money from the US (the funds were not readily available in the Philippines) This was an unfortunate experience esp because my recipient needed the money urgently Overall, I guess we just have to accept some loss in exchange for convenience

Thank you fir your Vlog However, I have an update regarding your suggestion to use a VPN for bank online transfers Most bank online access & transactions are now able to recognize if you are using a VPN The syatem will either not allow you to log on, or in the case of BofA, the system will turn off some features while you are connected via a VPN Try using BofA's online check deposit if you are outside of the USA, it will not show up brTnx & keep safe
