I’m a retiree with a Medicare supplement When I broke my leg in three places several months ago,I needed surgery with a plate and several screws embedded After a short hospital stay,they recommended a long-term stay at a facility with physical therapy It really wasn’t long term,just a couple weeks,but I wanted to see if it was covered When I called my insurance agent,before I’d gotten to the question,he interjected in a snarky tone,”Well,what do you want ME to do about it?!”After he happily took my premiums for years

Governments screw up health insurance It’s simple all insurance must offer any doctor, any hospital in US ,any state , any procedure ( approved by FDA ) and any drug ( approved by by FDA) to all patients , 1 price No ifs and or but! Government must stipulate these are the rules of the health insurance game Congress must enshrine this in law and healthcare cost will become cheapest for the best care in the world!

Lets see $8200 out of pocket spent this year so far, and $14,700 in Premiums So a bit shy of $23,000 for healthcare Only a shade over $11,000 in Federal Withholding + Social Security + Medicare But if I go with a cheaper plan, I can have the joy of watching my and my family's prescription costs go from $400/month to well over $1200/month! brbrSo, you know, lose-lose!

Story time! A psychiatrist I once saw for a length of time, who I confirmed was in my network, ended up being charged to me anyway because she filed my paperwork as psychiatric instead of medical, therefore causing her services to be out of my insurance's network Guess what 19 year old got stuck with hundreds of dollars of medical bills for seeking psychiatric care with no notice at all until the bills came?

sometimes the incompetence can work in your favor Like when i was in the hospital they made a mistake on my forms, and switched one of the letters on my address so the place they tried to esnd bills to doesn't exist I tried multiple times ( and documented them) to get them to fix the error but they never did So now I have no bills because they keep sending them somewhere that doesn't exist, and if tehy ever try to bring legal action against me, I've already won

More affordable but you gotta pick certain people in certain service areas to give you your care (less range), EPO? Born in Sweden, Full Healthcoverage from first breath to last my only OoP expenses is the equivalent of 10$ a day and that covers bed, three meals and basic cable during a hospital stay, which is only when we're in hospital Gotta love universal health care

Way back in 2009 I went to USA with family and loved the people I met But when I collapsed in my Las Vegas hotel room after a day out in the August sun, all I was trying to say to my sisters was "dont call an ambulance!!" I assumed I would have to sell my house to pay for it! Luckily the hotel sent a lovely in house medical person to our room instead Was only dehydrated but very grateful I escaped without an enormous bill Sorry you guys have to deal with such unfair health system

As someone who had to do a gofundme page so I would be able to keep my insurance plan so as not to loose the coverage I needed for my rare condition with an expensive diagnostic process and treatment plan, people don't get how hard things like these hit people If I'd still lived in Texas, I probably wpuldnt even have a diagnosis for my may thurner syndrome that caused pelvic congestion syndrome along with my rcvs If I'd filed for unemployment while not being able to work from the intense pelvic, leg pain and swelling 24/7 that got worse when sitting down or standing, id be at risk for losing my plan since I wouldnt be in the same income bracket and I'd have to start over or pay high deductibles before my venogram Unfortunately people didnt understand thus process even after I explained it and accused me of being lazy It took me a long time before I got a diagnosis since docs didnt take me seriously besides my pcp, so if I lost my pcp I'd have been screwed My friend was kind enough to make a t shirt in his online store to try and help me Only medical professionals were the ones to understand what i could possibly be dealing with and a few friends who bought a few shirts It has been insanely frustrating Had an angioplasty done during my venogram to see if opening up my iliac would even relieve my symptoms bedore stenting is an option since I fell just under the criteria I'm thankful I'm in MA now, but if I'd been in TX, it would have been really bad for me Especially as a full time single mom It hurts my heart when I hear about others in much worse situations😮
