Dingthis is the best simple and hands on guitar lesson I ever come across Less talk (Most guitar tutorials talk too much like 30mins and ended up with one cord) and explain the method as playing along Comment from : Mr Dope |

You can get to know the fingerboard well by playing the guitar That is if you read music, because the notes will appear again and again in different positions The more pieces you play, the more familiar you are with the locations of those notes In guitar fingerboard, one note can be in several different positions depends on the harmonising notes (chord) and the melody line So, that's the easy way to know the fingerboard If you don't read music, notes become irrelevant You just have know the melody line by ears and in what key it should be played The scale of Amajor in the 5th position is the most popular key in pop music If you know this one you can easily play in other keys The same with its related minor key You don't have to know the name of the notes All you have to know is the scale pattern Comment from : John Lay |

Important to note cuz it does appear in written music that B# is C, Cb is B, same idea for E and F Basically different ways to describe the same notes, which is annoying but good to know when encountered Also all flats can be sharps and all sharps can be flats (C# is also Db) Comment from : The Bush |

I had lost all motivation to learn guitar a week after I got into it, and it was mainly because I couldn't really find a fun, interesting and immediately helpful lesson that allowed me to find some direction as an absolute beginner This has enlightened me to see what my next steps could look like after learning some basic terminology Thanks a lot for this video!brbrAnd yes, I've seen and read about the importance of not internalising the fretboard as a starter and just straight up learning chords, but I seriously don't just wanna play a couple of songs and leave, as tempting as it sounds; I do want to understand what I'm doing so I can master it in the future with proper technique and knowledge Comment from : mad sweeteners |

I've played the guitar since i was around 10 years old, (turning 40 in a few months) I can play alot of songs, some I've played with friends in a band, most just by myself to relax I actually never learned the fretboard, or anything like that I just learned the guitar grips, and learned from testing and reading tabs Could never read a single note Now at the age of 40, I for some strange reason decided to look up some things, and ended up on this video Great explanation, and great trainings, I'll start them tomorrow after i print out the fretboard 😂 Comment from : Xandor |
