I don't consider the tradiional grammar teavhing is wrong because it worked for me for example, but there are other styles that could complement this traditional view very much! I recently realized it's hard for me to teach grammar, because there's a thin line between not giving enough information and giving over information, but this hleped a lot Tyvm Comment from : La razón por la que |

Interesting video: Is it more for EFL or ESL? Teachers with degrees or without? Why not begin with topic first? Let the topic input (reading and listening) and student input determine the grammar structures (it will never be one structure) to be taught Our field has been moving towards theme-based instruction and integrated skills for many years, so why determine grammatical structures first? I am sooooo happy I found This Teacher Chris :) and the amazing video by him on teaching Grammar As a new ESL teacher teaching first time with my own lesson material independently , I am and was struggling with the best way to teach grammar and was doing it wrong!! I think Chris has nailed it so well when he says " its about usage", so dont teach all grammar points, pick one or two and really think about activation stage in advance, plus never make it the topic itself as it is boring and what I was doing ! so excited to see the rest of the videos ! Fan from first video Thank you for making this video, no grammar books or tefl course teaches this ( atleast mine didn't)! Comment from : The girl that looks like dora |
