One thing I can say about BMW, is when they get the model right, that look lasts for decades The Z3 and Z4 are old cars but STILL look great and could have come out last year If I didnt know better, you could not convince me those BMW Z's are 20+ years old Comment from : Dana Williams |

The MR two is the lightest of the bunch Mid engine Least amount of cargo space keeps away people you don’t want around It is literally a toy Tires matter You can lower it a little bit if you want but you don’t need to Don’t add a bunch of body kit Crap and look like oh boy racer you’re just adding weight A cone air filter is a must The one in the video they complained about the sound of it had a crappy exhaust system Color matters yellow is amazing Black is amazing Red doesn’t look bad and there are some greens and blues that are rare They only made 37,000 of these things in the course of its life They made that many Corvettes in 2001 You’ll have something a little bit scarce and you won’t see yourself coming and going You don’t need two hundred horsepower when you don’t weigh 3500 pounds Comment from : Nobody |
Mr2 all day long Comment from : Nobody |

love it! My wife and I ran a first generation Boxster S for about 9 years ('05 to '14), including through one baby and only had to get rid of it due to baby 2 With the airbag deactivate you can have a kid in the front where they want to be, and a stroller folded into the rear trunk while still driving a sports car In fact, we found that being near a kid was more relaxing for both kid and parent, and she loved the sound and the sky Over about 9 years and almost 100k miles it needed a fuel pump, water pump, plugs, and an occasional exhaust weld, and Oxygen sensor, as well as one new convertible top (FL is hard on everything) Using a non-dealer specialist it was surprisingly reasonable to run, and was loads of fun So our real-life experience was entirely positive and surprisingly affordable (in context of what starts as a 50-80k car)br Comment from : Bernd Liesenfeld |
Why no S2000? Hopefully they are not expensive bc I want one… it’s a Honda after all! Comment from : Lewis |

And when will the S2000 drop to less than 10k? :( Comment from : Seth Ellis |

We all know that with all of these cars, it isn’t the purchase price, but the maintenance and the expected cost of repairs that matter With that in mind, the Boxster, Z3, Z4 and the Benz are nice, but … Comment from : Vic C |

The Mazda Miata NC is such a better and more roomy interior car than the NB I test drove and NB and being 6'3" tall, it was like wedging myself into a sardine can! Too small, and my knee was literally 1/2" from the dash Not a nice experienceBUT, when I test drove the NC, it was about 2" more roomy all around, giving me plenty of space I fit great My head never touches the ceiling, nor do my knees even come close to the dash And, IT HAS A TILT STEERING WHEELgiving it even more room and ease of entry/exit The NB isn't available with a tilt wheel With 170hp, it's way more peppy than the NB or NA, and it handles like a dream! It only weighs a few pounds more A 2004 NB weighs 2447lbs, with 142hp and the 2006 NC weighs in at 2498lbs with 170hp They can easily be had for your $8000 price range too I think you would have liked the NC Miata, which came out in 2006, a whole lot better! I sure do Comment from : Sco0t Rot0R |

Last spring, I bought a 2005 SLK350 To be honest, it was a letdown from the start Interior felt CHEAP (like think 2 seat Sebring), handled rather poorly even after I replaced a LOT of suspension components with OEM, steering was rather lifeless, for a 7 speed automatic it got rather abysmal gas mileage (I mean I wouldn't expect much, but it was awful), ride was harsh, and all the cheap crappy plastics rattled like CRAZY Last fall, I ended up trading it for a 1999 Boxster with a BAD bad clutch (wouldn't even move!) and man, let me tell you, I don't think there's a better decision I could have made It's built FAR better, the steering is ridiculously good, gets better fuel mileage, surprisingly easy to work on (all kinds of access panels and the transmission was shockingly easy to drop and put back), the handling and balance are so good that I'm afraid to find its limit yet it rides far better There are a few drawbacks, though The stereo is awful (the SLK had the Harmon/Kardon system and it was great), needs a 6th ratio, and while I don't care many complain that it's slow So IMO, the Boxster wins hands down between it and the SLK Comment from : Michael Long |
I love how most of these cars where once in the $36k+ or more price range are now less than $8k Comment from : zzzingrol |
The key factor for me would be the size of the aftermarket (for cheapness of upgrades) and second most important to me would be popularity (for ease of resale, if I needed to sell it quickly), will it sell quick? Comment from : Bellwether Trucking |
It's a shame that All of these cars are too small for me I've been inside all of them Comment from : NOT SURE |
"Mercedes build quality" says the man with hydraulic fluids all over! 😆I'd honestly stay away from BMW or Mercedes Benz unless you do the research, check out the car really well somewhere you can lift it up and see it from underneath and do your due diligence It might be cheap to buy but really expensive to maintain Personally I'm more into Japanese/Korean cars because they are generally more robust and cheaper to maintain, yet can be equally fun Comment from : Janne Kiljunen |
I wish you'd have used the Solstice GXP instead of the base Comment from : Jim Miller |
Old BMWs are NOT cheap, no mater what the purchase price is The constant repairs are not cheap Comment from : David Wilson |
