I have exactly the same keyboard as you and I hate it, I'm pretty sure that if you try to type on another keyboard, you'd certainly improve your speed! And I'm not talking about expensive ones, I myself type much faster on the laptop keyboard Comment from : Rudy Padovan |

I’ve never been able to touch type because of my disability Touch typing strains my writs and fingers and causes them to dislocate I wish I could type faster and with more accuracy, so hopefully I’ll find a way that works for me other than looking between the keyboard and the screen Comment from : Motionless _ Horizon |

Very nice video, glad I watched, but I was drawn to it by the somewhat ?misleading? title which alludes to some content within that might suggest some reasons why touch typing might not be a good idea (I'm looking to start to learn this skill) This seems to be quite common phenomenon - you see the same with Barefoot shoes - videos like "things the barefoot industry doesn't tell you" and you end up realising it was an advocate of barefoot shoes all along - and the thing it, it works as a way to get people to clickbut to those who don't have the time to click and watch, and just see the thumbnail, it subconsciously counts as a "vote" against the subject, which can be misleading Comment from : Matt Thomas |
Current title:br"I quit touch typing after 2 years, and maybe you should too"brbractual video:br"I quit ipracticing/i touch typing after 2 years, and maybe you should too" Comment from : Yash |

Touch typing is not about typing It is all about the focus u can achieve with your brain It is like an sports where one day practice will make u perfect Comment from : Tanish Mavi |

I learned to type on my own when I got my own computer when I was young and I learned to type with just a few fingers and never really thought much about it Currently, I average like high 80 to 90wpm and can type without looking at my keyboard I found out a while back about people who use all their fingers and I was shocked because I didn't know or people told me I was weird for typing with only a few fingers I'm still debating on whether or not to learn this because I already type fast enough but I also wanna see if I can try typing even faster, I'm just worried I'll slow down by learning a new way to type Comment from : Zelrius |
wait you need to practice? just type things and don't look down Comment from : Maric |
Damn, this video was better than I expected! Comment from : Carretis |
i learned touch typing more for the accuracy rather than speed before, i'd be looking up and down to my keyboard and screen while hitting backspace almost every sentence brspeech-to-text is cool but i write most of my texts bilingually haven't figured out yet how to do that haha Comment from : Kouhaiii |
3 minutes of fluff and a nothing burger at the end he found that "voice to text" was faster than his 62wpm that's the video Comment from : Dead Ringer -Cult of Deathrattles |

You shouldn't learn touch typing to type 'faster', it's learned to be more effective while typing and gives you better posture Also didn't know it was called 'touch typing', but it's just something that was commonly taught in middle/high school for decades Comment from : Rich Priebe Jr |

In my opinion there's no need to think too much about it Touch typing is a great skill to have, and once you've learned it, you won't just forget it like that Whenever you need to type you'll do it efficiently, and looking at the computer screen instead of the keyboardbrbrI learned touch typing in 2018, and from jan 2020 to jan 2021 I didn't use any computers, when I came back I still knew how to touch type without needing to practice Comment from : Diogo GF |
