I inherited a third of my grandfather’s collection I knew I would since I was around 10 and now I’m 48 The fact that I keep discovering value in coins such as the 2 rolls of nickels seemingly uncirculated is why I haven’t sold my collection 1961 and 1964 d rolls Now to see how much it will cost and if it’s worth it to get some of them graded 🤷🏼‍♂️

My dad was in the service from 1939 to 1965 and we lived in England for 6 years and I was in the navy and visited many countries and have accumulated a bunch of coins and I have a few mid 1800s and early 1900s and a bunch of odds and ends up to the 70sbrI like the suspense of trying to figure out what they might be worth I will have to replay your video to be able to figure out how to start

Silverpicker I just sent you an email but I have one more question for you or your followers Many of the coins I'm sifting through are in plastic tubes and have been in the tubes for a minimum of 30 years, and many are stuck in the tubes How can I safely remove the coins from the tubes without damaging the coins? I have at least 300 tubes of coins, mostly wheat pennies and buffalo nickels, and they are really stuck in these tubes

I inherited a 1968 coin set I was told to pay attention to the dimes The only difference in the two was one mint mark D and the other has no mint mark of D It has no mint mark at all Blank Is it worth anything

Honestly just looking at the mintage numbers doesn’t always work for finding key dates Examples include 1910 p barber half- about 410,000 minted, still only worth as much as a common date Another example, for the Canadian 50 cent pieces include the 1931, 1934 and 1936 All very low mintages, but only worth the same as a 1919 with over a million minted Looking at mintages can help locate the key dates, but they can fool you sometimes

Ive been helping a friend sell his inherited collection of 1800s coins for the past few months I had to learn all this through trial and error, so I’m super happy you put it all in one video! I’ve tried selling at in-person auctions, Facebook coin collecting pages, and eBay, and I can say that eBay auctions is one of the BEST place to get what your coin is worth despite them taking 10-15 Got ripped off bad with a Carson city half dollar during an in-person sale Will not do that again

hi Rob here in Aus we use ebay sold prices for value Numista for information and we sell a few circulated coins on ebay to fund our collection of uncirculated coins from the mint Love your videos and we would sell coin by coin to maximise List at mid to high retail at auction and let market decide the price If they dont sell put them away for three months and try again brRegards

I've sold off a lot of the excess of my dad's collection piecemeal and one super-helpful thing for me was buying a Greysheet (the thing dealers use for wholesale) That will give you a much more realistic idea of what you can sell something for, and using a mixture of that, the PCGS price guide and eBay sold has helped me price things to sell in regular non-auction listings on eBay Also, take good photos!

Hi Max, Snoopydoo here I really like the idea of sending my whole collection to you in one shot and calling it done, accepting your pricing levels And if it all fit in a shoe box, shipping wouldn’t be too bad However what do you recommend if it’s several hundred pounds of coins and currency? Would that be something you want to come see in person first? Or would someone need to drive it to one of your US address’s and drop off And how do you handle those rare items that have never been sold before like the Star Note Project?
