Mint state not strike
Comment from : Jared White

Eric Lapointe
You never really know what coins could go up in value like crazy, I had a MS70 1999 ASE in 2000 not knowing what it would be worth 20 years later I was carless with it and it was stolen in 2000 but I'll never own another one again not for $10,000
Comment from : Eric Lapointe

James Jenkins
You have to get at auction Newer MS 70 SAE aren't worth much because the newer system punches out way better and produces way more 70s
Comment from : James Jenkins

R N
Still better than cash in the bank!
Comment from : R N

GenSneaky81
None signed by the appraiser tho…

Jersey Buzz
I just recently purchased these and they turned out great I don't think you overpayed on those silver eagles
Comment from : Jersey Buzz

Daniel Lombardo
No, that ain't a bad purchase We seasoned stackers have the monetary understanding in the bag we've got the metal in raw bars, low premium round/coins, why not enjoy it in other ways and have a little fun too? What other investment out there also doubles as a great hobby?
Comment from : Daniel Lombardo

Sam Sunderland
My local pawn shop is selling these for £100 a pop 😐
Comment from : Sam Sunderland

Bud Scott
I made the same mistake only difference mine is a early release MS 70 Sometimes you just have to eat it!
Comment from : Bud Scott

Ashley
Now had you bought 2020p NGC and bought the 66 67 68 or error you actually pin point your coin to the first box opened by the first grader who actually did his job, the rest were all 69 ot 70 bit there are 300 coins out there that are the rarest American minted coin ever as seen by ngc
Comment from : Ashley

Two_Legit
I have a couple of the Edmond C Moy signature ASE graded proofs, and I love them and will never part with them
Comment from : Two_Legit

Weekly BULLION
Hi Silver Dragons Nice video I’m curious to here your three-year debrief on this video I’m looking at current day prices, and I’d I’m right, you should be up close to 150 on these coins What’s your thought on this today?br-WeeklyBULLION
Comment from : Weekly BULLION

Fireworxs2012
"Collect what you love Love what you collect, and you'll never be disappointed"- Q David Bowers,brThat said, the mintage numbers on SEP's compared to ASE's are ridiculously low*
Comment from : Fireworxs2012

Lou Eckert
One of my best coins is a 1986 PF beautiful coin my father in law left us This got me interested in collecting and now at about 1000 ounces
Comment from : Lou Eckert

pborkstrom
Over $30 for graded Eagles You might have won
Comment from : pborkstrom

Wayne Priest
I think you meant "Mint State" instead of Mint Strike, saying what MS stands for
Comment from : Wayne Priest

Ultrashiver
I've got 3 of these and my pride and joy was endorsed by Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars - Love these coins -
Comment from : Ultrashiver

Ytcoinshooter
I see this video is 2+years old but some things never change Agreed slabbed eagles have no real upside for stacking Grading them is a gimmick as most everything from the US mint nowadays is a 69 or 70 until mishandled Graded bullion coins are of no significance unless the mintage is really small As for special label designations in slabs (PCGS, NGC, etc) they add no value to the coin for collectability The labels ONLY serve as marketing tools, a perceived (imagined) value without merit to the uniformed consumer that cannot be recouped Try and sell any slabbed modern gold or silver with "first strike", special signatures and such labels at a major show like FUN Nobody is paying for labels, only coins There is also an abundance of counterfeit bullion coins on popular sites, incl 2021 type 1 & 2 silver eagles Collect what you like if it makes you happy but don't invest in intangibles and marketing hype thinking there is a return on investment down the road
Comment from : Ytcoinshooter

JimZRyd
Nice find you have there I agree with your assessment of slabbed vs stacked I have been collecting proof ASE's for the past 15 years Love them and view them just as a collection I've seen that dealers will typically price the proofs with a decent premium so I'm of the thought you could sell them with that premium if you wanted to
Comment from : JimZRyd

Frank Nunzi
Mike Mejerk from CSN, and HSN charges 3 X ova spot on these, I was foolish enough to make the same 🪙 purchase mistake from him ! Mayb 🙏 one day we will make our money 💴 🪙 back on these ! ✊🏼
Comment from : Frank Nunzi

Coffee&Weed
It's it still outrageous? 10/21
Comment from : Coffee&Weed

Scott Nowlin
Hey don't forget grading cost along with the spot price
Comment from : Scott Nowlin

zzyzxRDFwy15

Comment from : zzyzxRDFwy15

Cyberleader Andy
I've several MS69 First Strike West Point eagles, not as expensive as the 70s but still a lovely coin from a rarer mint
Comment from : Cyberleader Andy

tekhen 0357

Comment from : tekhen 0357

Mace LSA
how much you want for em!brlol
Comment from : Mace LSA

SilverStryke
Remember, scarcity is the name of the game in any collectible piece 2021 Silver eagles in Type 1 and Type 2 in both proof and uncirculated are a good "long hold" slabs This year has been phenominal with the US Mint (not happy with the outrageous premiums) that has released several collectibles I personally have two stacks: 1 Numismatics 2 Buillion (low premiums)I buy buillions with the profits that by flipping some of my numismatics Wash, rinse, repeat!
Comment from : SilverStryke

Benny Duran
I was just about to order the set Funny this popped up Only this one was a set of 3 early releases from each mint office Phili San Francisco and west point Thoughts?
Comment from : Benny Duran

nobull shiit

I love and collect the eagles 🦅 also but nothing compares to the Morgan silver dollars especially Carson City !!! Cha Ching 💵💵💵
Comment from : Bill Moorer

Michael Fett
MS means Mint State Indicating that the coin has no visible imperfections or wear, and all mint luster is still present
Comment from : Michael Fett

Gary Fredrick
MS: mint state
Comment from : Gary Fredrick

Rob B
Now i dont think its bad $50 is for graded vs $40ish for bullion ones
Comment from : Rob B

Michael Cogswell
if you was gonna go for slabed eagles go for like 1996 ms 69s or something like that if u just wanted some eagles that are modern prob shoulda just gotten loose ones
Comment from : Michael Cogswell

TEK
I bought a roll of 1996 SAEs in capsules for $30 each on ebay about 6-7 years ago
Comment from : TEK

Keyser Soze
Every silver purchase is bad now between the premiums being charged and the dropping spot price Who in their right mind wants to pay 9 whopping dollars over spot?
Comment from : Keyser Soze

Beachlady
I reckon your thoughts will change about these coins when the price of silver shoots up
Comment from : Beachlady

GROUNDZERO
What the hell are you talking about? PCGS 70 Eagles have been ALWAYS near double spot Hence the numismatic value A slabbed eagle will most often increase or hold it's value
Comment from : GROUNDZERO

Troy B
The monster boxes should all be MS69+
Comment from : Troy B

Castle Rock
A year later, I’m sure it wasn’t the worst purchase now with everyone’s running from the US Dollar! Just wait till 2022 & the privately held prints another $7 Trillion dollars from thin air & pushes SILVER to $250 oz
Comment from : Castle Rock

Miller Forester
Right! When you sell, you want get any more for these things than the ones right out of a tube
Comment from : Miller Forester

RedKamel

Comment from : RedKamel

Comment from : Chris Laymon

Morbid Mike
As of today February 21, 2021br 2017, 2018, 2019 are going to be the lowest Mintage for silver eaglesbrMainly the 2018 & 2019
Comment from : Morbid Mike

David strange
American Eagle's notorious for milk spots months after it was minted I have heard even up to a year after they were minted alot of grading companies hate grading American Eagles cuz the spotting and can happen after it was graded it just appear from the detergent not being washed off or a bit gets splashed on before its cooked Which it looks like you have some milk spots send the milky ones back The seller should have had a warning about milk spotting on the post!
Comment from : David strange

H R
I believe numismatic coins are not liable to capital gains tax
Comment from : H R

William Miller
Still a pretty nice 4 pack I'm sure you could sell them if you wanted and get back what you paid for them

Razor Sharp
Wish I watched this video before i bought my 2020 ASE MS70 San Fran lol -- oh well, they're still fun to collect
Comment from : Razor Sharp

James Creek
One can buy a tube of silver eagles and put them in a slab and you have the same thing but for spot and a bullion premium I don’t collect coins except for silver values But to each their own love watching your videos though thanks
Comment from : James Creek

James Creek
The uncomfortable truth about stacking silver is that the market is controlled and rigged the only people getting rich offf of silver is the coin shop and online Bullion Dealers and don’t get me started on the premiums which are just a screw you silver junkie you know you want it so pay up besides they are saying you will recover that little price as soon as the market explodes which it never Does more than a dollar or two some stackers are in over a couple hundred thousand dollars in the metal Thankfully I’m only in it with a couple hundred oz’s and I’m not going to buy anymore silver eagles or other silver unless it’s dirt cheap and everyone I know that sold out took a sting I remember going into thrift stores back in the eighties and seeing silver proof collections and mint commemorative bars for a few as $10 dollars for ten one ounce bars and putting it back because silver was cheap and not considered valuable at the time It was about $7 Dollars for two Decades I was buying silver rings for 50 cents at swap meets the problem is they rigged the price and pump and dump and they have created a new market called silver stacking and we have gone overboard if one reads the YouTube channels they run the gambit from exciting news to don’t let them get you I’m just going to hold onto my silver eagles and rounds and silver dimes and things for now hopefully I am wrong and I can make a little money or at least break even later on and even better if I’m wrong and everyone who stacks up with get rich but it’s a crap shoot the coming economic crash will be the proof of the strategy Good luck to you all I’m going to stand pat for now with my few hundred ounces I have collected Good Luck 🍀
Comment from : James Creek

alphabet661 Chris Sahar
Actually I agree you would have done better getting the Uncirculated Burnished ASE W in MS69 or 70

Comment from : Lost For words

M Freier
Extremely odd… You make mention (numerous times) that this was the worst purchase you have ever made, yet you spent 90 of the video talking about how much you liked them I don’t know who is more confused you or myself?

Brass Stacks
I just paid $70 shipped for an MS70 2020 ASE and I'm totally happy It's the last year of the design and I have wanted an MS70 since I started stacking 2 years ago I doubt the value will go down, but even if it does I'm not planning on selling it It'll go to my daughter when I'm dead
Comment from : Brass Stacks

TheSwing
Check out morgan dollars beautiful coin especially a MS CC
Comment from : TheSwing

SLAYER STACKER
I've noticed PCGS graded coins are more valuable than NGC and alot more than ANACS
Comment from : SLAYER STACKER

EivinSukoi
If I buy slab coins , I am not thinking on premiums , metal content , I buy them to keep them for as long as my family exist , way after I am buried , unless there is need to sell them for survival I got tons of kennedy , Benjies way below spot prices , some of them I like the toning and put them in capsules just to cuddle with them while watching a nice film , or I have my wife's best friend to dance on the pole , and I throw some of my junk silver instead of paper money
Comment from : EivinSukoi

Ffollies
What's with this First Strike and First Day thing? Can you even buy these newer Eagles without one of those labels? Why even pay extra for one of those labels?
Comment from : Ffollies

Fred Valencia
Uh no You bought the holder as welland yes a big mistake buying so called perfect coins you should already know that most coins just minted are oerfectgrading should only be for old coins Big scam
Comment from : Fred Valencia

Lili Robin
We all make mistakes I have pulled the trigger on two buys only to find them cheaper about one hour later But in the long run any silver purchase will be a good purchase I like my purchases but paid too much at the time
Comment from : Lili Robin

Billy Jack
Bet you don't think its a bad purchase now lol
Comment from : Billy Jack

Glen H
There is nothing wrong with buying one slabbed silver eagle each year to keep in your collection If you like the coin it doesn't matter how much you paid for it
Comment from : Glen H

Numismatic Stacker
If you sell these to a coin shop will they offer you spot?brI think its better to sell these on eBay for a profit Good discussion!
Comment from : Numismatic Stacker

TimmithyZERO
Good video you're showing the hobby side of silver sometimes it's about fun not profit!
Comment from : TimmithyZERO
