As someone whose going to start now at age 26 I’m going to buy 1 ducat restrikes and maybe some napoleons here and there or some coins I can get deals on It mostly boils down to the fact that I love history and they’re not pure gold so I can handle them a bit morebrbrAs for silver I’m mostly going to buy maltas but also going to get britannias and maple leafs My goal is to get 1 once of silver a week and a Austrian gold piece once a month

Such a great video, thank you I don’t have the ultra high reliefs to get attached to, but I’ve got several 2021 gold coins for the year my daughter was born, those or my Saint Gaudens double eagle coins would be last to go for me Purely emotional reasoning, but hey Love your channel
Comment from : Kyle Smedley

Jeff McClain
Gah! I would LOVE to have those Perth Myth's and Legends Makes me feel a little reluctant at over $3k per coin, thoughstill, they are soooo pretty My favorite "stackable" low premium are the Britannias and Maples (in that order) I can't believe they are so low premium compared to AGEs and Buffalos They are a far better minted coin from a technical stand point, I think The Liberty coins are super beautiful and I keep looking at them (especially the high relief) but keep throwing up when I see the secondary market pricesif you can even find them
Comment from : Jeff McClain

Timothy Thompson
The last coin I would sell is my one ounce gold Somali elephant coin It has sentimental value
Comment from : Timothy Thompson

Glutamate Sulphate
In which state do you live that allows you to sell your maples and Britannia's easily? Could you do a similar video on selling fractionals?
Comment from : Glutamate Sulphate

Jeremiah
It may be a little harder to unload if ever the time came to do so but I have an infatuation with the Britannias

Comment from : Todd

Jay Barr
Don't know how you'd find private sale buyers so fast If I had coins or bullion/bars, I'd wonder how to find buyers for them
Comment from : Jay Barr

Michael Smith
In an emergency, I’d use a cc in heartbeat before I sold any of that gold…just me

Have you ever thought about getting into Libertads? Curious your thoughts on the liquidity and mix between bullion and numismatic
Comment from : Scott K

James Suter
I have one of those 2009 double eagles in high relief, I'd have agree with your choices That one would be my last to sell
Comment from : James Suter

Kevin Rowland
I like the perth mint stuff low mintage is my main concern I prefer rare high premium Silver and gold It will fetch even higher premiums on eBay never sell to a coin shop unless u want spot
Comment from : Kevin Rowland

Didelier Lowcost
I'm europan and i bought 20 francs gold coins, sovereigns and some 10 gulden coins Just buy local coins My english is poor but i like watching your videos 😉 I'm bullish on gold and silver too Usa just bought canadian et usa gold coins For silver i like "50 francs hercule" (beautiful french silver coin 0, 900) 😁 Euro money is garbage
Comment from : Didelier Lowcost

Big Sky
Mr 2 is 1: Ummm… if you’re selling the AGEs & Buffs @ $pot PLEASE don’t go to your LCS Just let me know! (Really)
Comment from : Big Sky

TT
I don't buy any collectable gold coins bc if the Sh!t really hits the fan nobody is going to pay collectable prices for a gold coin! All that goes out the window in a crisis!
Comment from : TT

NbgStacker
I inherited two 2006 One ounce Gold Baffalos from my Dad, which got me started in the first place There would need to be a pretty dire situation for me to sell them These are the only two coin that I own that have sentimental value Thank God I'd like To pass them down to my two childrenbrMikebrNurnberg
Comment from : NbgStacker

Roy Sandoval

The Nugget
Your channel is among the very best bullion channels on YouTube It’s not that you just babble about random stuff, you actually love talking about gold and I like how you spread your coins while talking and offering insights, very entertaining This is good stuff man, and very informative chats Keep it up! Certainly a fan of your channel
Comment from : The Nugget

Vertical Stacker
Of course with a 40-50k sale to an LCS you'll have Form 8300 reporting requirements May or may not make a difference depending on the circumstances I would imagine Still something to consider when deciding where to sell and why you are selling Great display of metal 2 is 1! Happy New Year
Comment from : Vertical Stacker

Jesus Lua
I rather get a American Indian it’s 24 k
Comment from : Jesus Lua

ItsChauTime
One major turn off regarding the buffalo is the flaky/rough background pattern Am I crazy or do people actually like that part of the design? I personally would love to see a polished or matte background instead
Comment from : ItsChauTime

Joe Causey
Man, you just do NOT like Chinese Pandas, do you Never a mention
Comment from : Joe Causey

HD Dyna lowrider
I dont mind I would buy just gold eagles
Comment from : HD Dyna lowrider

Richard Kossow
May I say that you're not buying the right coins? I know you live in America, and it's important to have a coin that's well recognized and accepted in the country of your residence, but you're buying coins that have never circulated as money, never been known to be a medium of exchange anywhere in the world, and not readily accepted outside of America Compare that to the British sovereign, which has been official money in Great Britain for 200 years, and for at least 100 of those years was the currency of choice for the entire world The US has a history of confiscating gold coins held by residents in America when a currency crisis arises, and you might expect that to happen again Goodbye to all your coins at government-dictated prices But if you held Sovereigns outside the US, you'd be able to trade them anywhere in the world, for prices determined by the market place, not governments Even with this huge advantage, you can buy Sovereigns today at a smaller premium to the melt price than any one of those US coins you so proudly hold Think about it
Comment from : Richard Kossow

m EF
On your healthy education/advice, and being a family man, purchased five 1 ounce Britannias today, in case I have to unfortunately sell, but the plan is to keep I’m just doing Maples, Philharmonics, Britannias Someday I’ll get to the beautiful American coins🙏
Comment from : m EF

doogcat

Would rather have 10x1 oz raw American eagle or 100x1-10th PF/MS70 American eagle ? Thanks
Comment from : PJR

Savage Stacker
I had to sell a Buffalo in 2021 to pay for my mother’s services Of course it was an easy choice when it came to that situation But I felt like I was playing catch up all year trying to replace it brThe gold was going to be my long term hold and silver as my savings but it seems like it’s going to have to be the other way around or I’ll loose lots of value selling my silver to early I wish I knew what I know now about silver before I stacked as hard as I did I would hate to have to sell all my gold stack
Comment from : Savage Stacker

Alex N
My coin dealer at liberty coin has your exact voice
Comment from : Alex N

David Carroll
Selling you will most likely just get spot plus a couple bucks if you are lucky but the dealers are going to make a profit of 5-10
Comment from : David Carroll

God Man
Yep I will never sell my 2009 ultra high relief gold coin
Comment from : God Man

Angel
Why don't you have gold bars ?
Comment from : Angel

Blue Collar Bullion Baller
My not logical purchase and probably won't sell is my gold 1oz brJohn Wick continental
Comment from : Blue Collar Bullion Baller

Dave Bellamy
12:00 My guess: the UHR double eagle remains last?
Comment from : Dave Bellamy

Dave Bellamy
9:52 and 9:58 Aarrgggh! Those MS 69 coins are going MS68, MS67, MS66 there! Same price spot so who cares Lovely sound! Clink klink!🤣😊👍
Comment from : Dave Bellamy

Dave Bellamy
I'm surprised you don't sell the Buffaloes earlier And the Eagles Maybe leaving the nicest one to keep The fractional stuff is nice for barter
Comment from : Dave Bellamy

Dave Bellamy
Selling duplicate items is easier Buying duplicates allows one the chance to do that later With collectable or semi numismatics, selling the lower quality grade one is less of a wrench
Comment from : Dave Bellamy

Mikhail Kalashnikov
I just love gold, and the only things that really concern me are weight and purity
Comment from : Mikhail Kalashnikov

Mark Brinton
How do you feel about Philharmonics?
Comment from : Mark Brinton

NC Farmer
Thank you for the information
Comment from : NC Farmer

Scott Thomas
Ultra high reliefs and lunar series would be the last to go Stack AGE’s and Buffs as they always hold value in the US and in a crunch you might get over spot easier As for the very very last coin how would it come down to that… I once heard from somewhere 2 is 1 and 1 is none :)
Comment from : Scott Thomas

Enlightened Patriot
An interesting subject, something I have never considered Being in the UK, although I have many of the coin types shown here, my first selling choice would obviously be different CGT comes into it, like my Britannias, Sovereigns, Queen's Beasts, etc, I would certainly hang onto such as the Buffalos, Perth Mint coins and the QB, them being very special to me Some of the numerous UK ones, Maples, Kangaroos, Pandas, Philly's, Krugers, etc, would go firstbrbrIt is silly, really, as the value of most I have is in the gold content and fineness? Sentimentality also comes into play I have full sets of Queen's Beasts (gold and silver + Completers) so could never break those up, selling just the extra ones I bought I hope that decision will not be mine, but those of my family I hope to pass my stack onto one day Thanks for the thought-provoking video 🙂
Comment from : Enlightened Patriot

Lithic Metals
I'm all for supporting local coin shops However, the best place to buy and sell in today's market is within well run private groups My favorite group has 7k members Premiums are well balanced, and when it comes time to sell your premium is recoverable Going to the LCS and spending $100 over spot on a piece, only to return and sell it back for spot makes no sense in today's era of social networking (Just wanted to throw that out there)
Comment from : Lithic Metals

Thingamujigger
The only thing I can imagine anybody exchanging their beautiful Au for is something of greater value which I have never seen yet
Comment from : Thingamujigger

Nathan R
this was a interesting vidbrthough i'd sell in the same orderbrthat double eagle would be the hardest to part with or maybe the tiger i like that frosted look
Comment from : Nathan R

from Ontario
👍
Comment from : from Ontario

David Reeder
Since I only have Buffalos and Eagles, and a few Maples The Maples would sell first for sure After watching your video I appreciate that you have more option to consider when selling your stack Nice work
Comment from : David Reeder

SS
is there such a thing as buying gold below spot thank u
Comment from : SS

How do you feel about the new Spanish Mints introduction to bullion coins? The lynx gold bullion coin?
Comment from : Cash and Coins

Comment from : Pri vate

Mike Hawk
Gold is so awesome
Comment from : Mike Hawk

Dany Rizk
Wow u seem very VERY SURE GOLD HAS REACHED THE TOP & MIGHT NOTgo any higher I would not sell a Mcg before January or February(I MEAN WHAT'S RHE BIG DEAL TO WAIT 45-60 DAYSbr GOLD WILL GO SOOOO MUCH HIGHER IN 22(AND THATS NOT GOOD NEWS PEOPLE WOULD KILL TO HAVE A POLICE INSURANCE,LIKE SERIOUSLY!? "they would easily sell!!! Of course But ITS MY OPINION we won't have to wait to long For the accession for gold which will start somewhere in January followed by silver (More slowly than gold and by February/march, silver will outdo gold many X over
Comment from : Dany Rizk

Gold Adventures with Brett
Great video as always! Wow, that’s a hard decision only having to choose one me coin to keep I’d definitely leave my High Relief serious last as you did I think it’s a toss up with the 2021 or the 2009
Comment from : Gold Adventures with Brett

mineDUSTrY
I have a proof and 86 age It would be hard to part with those last two
Comment from : mineDUSTrY

Shashank Golikeri
Most cogent explanation of a selling strategy brI'd always first sell bullion gold, including my favourite Britannia brParting with numismatic gold coins is such sweet sorrow brI collect such coins by date, special years that are significant to me personally, so selling them is hard But only till I see the cash 💸 😅
Comment from : Shashank Golikeri

GrayWolf #22
Where do you buy your bullion from?
Comment from : GrayWolf #22

Grumpy Old Man
This video was a great "Think Piece" I really enjoyed it
Comment from : Grumpy Old Man

Bullion Addict
My last coin I would sell would be the 2009 UHR as well brIf I could only stack two coins it would be the Buffalo and the AGE in that order
Comment from : Bullion Addict

Cache Katz
Nice stack wowza😏 The last coin to go would be my type 1 2021 1/4 Eagle If I could only stack one coin, man, that is a tuffy I guess it would be Eagles or Krugs 🤔 Tuff choice
Comment from : Cache Katz

Victor Frankenstein
Ahh crap, now I gotta go buy some more Gold You don’t pit chocolate in front of a chocoholic, and you don’t put Gold in front of a Gold Hoarder, without them going hog-wild Thanks 2 is 1…seriously, thanks for all your inspiration
Comment from : Victor Frankenstein

Jason
Nice stack brotha, I’d follow similar selling strategies as you as well except my last to sell would be my 2020 Reverse proof Libertads lol, it’d take an act of god to get me to part with them-hopefully I never have to🙏 blessings brotha🤘🏼 Happy New Year-2002 will be epic
Comment from : Jason

J P
great video
Comment from : J P

BrokenFaith
My daughters brought this subject up with me this last year, sadly while I had the "C-19" When I joked with them saying that I had not taken the time to have a will written That it would be like a treasure hunt and who ever found the bags, would be able to keep them They didn't seem to find it as funny as I did I would have to keep my slabbed silver libertads, 1 oz Au libertads and my Roosters
Comment from : BrokenFaith

72cmcinc
As much as I hate to go through these scenarios, I have…but hopefully it never comes to it I am not sure what I would sell last, but if I could only stack 1 or 2 coins, it is going to be Buffalos and Eagles Great topic, thanks!
Comment from : 72cmcinc

SalivateMetal
Bingo on the 09 UHR as the gold coin of last resort to sell! :)
Comment from : SalivateMetal

Joe Rock
I would sell my gold bars first, if it was me and I needed cash💵
Comment from : Joe Rock

SilverArc
If you sold off your stack and had to rebuild, would you have the same strategy?
Comment from : SilverArc

QuickSilver
The last gold coin I'd sell is my first US Double Eagle I bought it many years ago from a friend who has since passed away It's something I can never replace due to the connection to him The rest would go on the chopping block Thanks!
Comment from : QuickSilver

Ready To Scratch
If I could only stack 2 coins it would be the Buffalo and the Maple Leaf The 24k shimmer draws your attention plus the safety features on the Maple are the best out of any coin Question, have you ever purchased gold rounds like the John Wick gold coin in APMEX or the one that Scottsdale Mint makes? Have you ever considered stacking gold bars?
Comment from : Ready To Scratch

Uncle Putin
I've got one of those Homer Simpson ounces from tuvalu or someplace if I had it to do over again I would have got my entire allotment in those coins To me there's comedic value in the notion that I would be making some big deal in hyperinflation America 20 years from now with a bunch of Homer Simpson coins
Comment from : Uncle Putin

Wojciech Kalus
What if CBDC won't let us to buy or sell gold and silver?
Comment from : Wojciech Kalus

Black Country Stacker
Great video Unfortunately, I’m not in a position to buy one-ounce coins, so my gold stack predominately comprises 1/10- and 1/4-ounce pieces Given I’m a massive Perth Mint fan, and compounded by the fact I find AGEs v dull, my stack is full of coins with different designs As I’m currently trying to buy a house, of late, I’ve thought a little about how I’d sell through my gold for unexpected house-related stuff I was surprised but, as you say, that attachment thing is a real issue! I’ve come to learn that I’d actually struggle to get rid of the majority of my coins Consequently, I’ve concluded that I need some dull gold in the stack that I actually don’t like…brbrThe last coins I’d get out from under are my gold Kookaburras!
Comment from : Black Country Stacker

Jimmy Twotone
I'm still surprised you don't have a StGaudens in that pile hope you had a good Christmas and Happy New Year! 🥂🥈🥇
Comment from : Jimmy Twotone

SilverHustlin13
Superb content Sir I have a similarly diverse stack with Pre 33 in place of your Perth pieces I agree with the sales plan for sure! Preesh the time and video!
Comment from : SilverHustlin13

Andy
Do you keep receipt of all purchases to prove gains/losses? How does this get handled if you paid cash for a coin private party when it comes to record of a gain/loss? Thanks, you have the best channel on Youtube hands down
