The passing of Queen Elizabeth II marks the end of a long dynasty As Canadians, we need to rethink how the monarchy has actually benefited average taxpayers and families since we officially become a country in 1867 The inheritance of a privileged royal title based solely on blood lines needs to be abolished in my opinion These instigators of colonization over the centuries have resulted in countless lives and cultures being exploited for their own private benefit in numerous countries globally I can’t recall a single example where the Queen or now King Charles III gave a homeless person a cup of tea or hot soup, blanket or cloths The Crown (AKA The Firm) does not pay any taxes We have literally wasted billions of taxpayers dollars keeping this antiquated and outdated establishment alive in Canada For example, we literally spend millions of taxpayer dollars in Canada to support the Governor General in Ottawa and 10 lieutenant generals in office each year with their extravagant mansions, private chefs, gardeners, chauffer’s, security personal and staff to name but a few These funds can be better spent on the poor and homeless, health care and education Time for change people!!!
