Honestly I was doing my study session earlier and felt really great, however because I had turned off my timer to start my first session and forgot to turn my new timer back on I had no idea how much time had actually passed until I felt like it was going on forever I finally decided to check my phone to see how much time I had left of the session, and turns out I never restarted my timer and over an HOUR had gone by!! I never realized that I can focus for that long lmao "Mind over matter"

I'm going into my second year of cc, and I have been struggling hard with studying/ just doing my work Since I switched majors halfway through last year I'm gonna have to stay a 3rd year anyway so it's fine (I'll think of this year as freshman year #2 lol I switched to music as so I can transfer for music education)brIn high school I wasn't required to study since a lot of the work came easy for me, however I learned the hard way that it wouldn't be the same in college 😢

I struggle with transitioning between my study and relaxation activities because I use the same space for both purposes It serves as both my dedicated study area and my personal haven for unwinding and playing video games

In my undergrad I treated my studies as a job If I wasn't on campus I worked 9-5 on my studies I tried to keep to working hours I went over that, often but I treated it as my job which made it much easier

I found it really encouraging that you actually said how long you take for stuff For me my assignments and my reading consume so much time and it really drains me and discourages me because I always feel that it shouldn't take so long even though I know that it a) actually needs time and b) I will become more effective with practice
