not sure you can counsel here but I have a penny with three errors, one seeming significant, on it and wondering if I need to get it evaluated The first is that the date is incomplete, '196', missing the fourth number The other is that it clearly shows "IN GO WE TRUST", missing the D in GOD Finally, the full "e pluribus unem' is missing I had someone look at it and can confirm it was not scratched or filed offits perfectly smooth where that copy should beso it did not miss a letter, its missing all three words

U r legit the best One bit of help that i may add if u would like to use it is When you show mechanical doubling draw it the size of the original letter that way they can know its not as big as your drawing it

To me, die deterioration looks lumpy, and uneven, or has striations coming from it A doubled die is exactly what it says It's two separate devices of the same height

One thing I've learned is that there's often notching you won't see in Mechanical doubling When I first started collecting I confused the 2and learned quickly how rare alot of these DDs are

Mechanical doubling is prevalent in 69 Sbut its easy to know its not a DDO just by comparing the coin to photos of a genuine 69S DDO
