I’m 28, been working construction for the last 10 years, decent pay and it’s OK at times I keep having ‘wobbles’ mentally due to not being fulfilled with my career I’ve finally had enough of the wet, cold and dark winters, not to mention the early mornings and back ache Im committing to learn the trade of coding I’ve started out with Python on an online course and have the desire to learn front end coding too, hopefully I can make it through, it’s a long road ahead of me but it’s all for the best

I am a 33 year old mortgage processing analyst I have always struggled with what I wanted to be when I grew up lol I kind of got lucky with the position I’m in, and I ended up being a top producer from the start It takes a certain type of mind to do what I do successfully, and I felt like software development would be a good fit for me I started learning html and css on free code camp and it came very easy Now I’m in a bootcamp and JavaScript is so hard! I understand what I’m learning as I’m learning it, but the modules move fast I know eventually everything I’ve learned will come together, but I will admit I am a bit overwhelmed right now I’m sticking with it though and I hope to be successful in this field Thank you so much for all your great advice in this video!

It may sound silly to some people, but switching to a healthy diet helps a great deal! I used to eat nothing but junk food, since I cut it out I feel so much fresher, happier and it's so much easier to learn new things

My background: I am starting my senior year of high school in a week, and so far i have felt that it would be more cost and time effective to learn on my own When i graduate, i will have an academic honors high school diploma, as well as an associates degree in general studies Would i be laughed at for trying to enter the field as an 18 or 19 year old without a college degree because i suppose i have the option to go to college (as opposed to someone who went to college already and is making a career change)?

My background story is very different from your, I took Information Technology and I'm currently a Second-year student I noticed I'm not aware on how to do things during my first year That's why during my current vacation break I spend my time learning and learning, But as I progress this what we called Impostor syndrome really kick in and I only have days before semester start and I'm just starting yet and I'm just currently halfway on what I want to become I learn a lot on this vid Thank you!

After 13 years in desktop app development I spent the last couple of years dabbling in HTML, CSS, JS, ES6, REST APIs, MVC, Webforms I even completed several "camps" online and built some MVC CRUD apps The goal is to learn react and start building learning pages/sites The concern is when I look at JR level job listings, they require either 2-3 years experience or "proficiency" in a list of concepts Is there a good way to determine if you are "proficient" enough to handle an employer's web assignments?

Learn software development architecture, the types of programming there is: OOP, Functional etc… , learn a tech stack such as Ruby on Rails, NET/C#, MERN, etc… , deploy apps/ build a portfolio, and grind data structures and algorithms/leetcode

I was always a good kid in school, was bullied severely I excelled in school but around sophomore year Covid hit and we were pushed into online school I was more interested in drugs because lock down had me extremely depressed By Junior year I was pretty much done with school, got in a super bad fight at school and beat a girl pretty bad because of the bullying Had to go to an alternative school to pretty much speed through and get my diploma I went to college for information systems for a month but mentally I couldn’t handle it so I dropped out Ended up in cosmetology school but I absolutely hated it and dropped out as well A lot happened in between and now I’m mentally well Looking to get into my dream job
