Vince had a "big picture" vision Remember, at that time, 1982, when he bought the company, there was a big debate on whether it was "real or fake" The "territories" promoted it as a real sport, whereas Vince coined the term "sports entertainment" He basically told us, the fans, I'm not going to try and insult your intelligence, I just want to bring you the best product possible and I want you to enjoy it Jim Ross said it best, the other "territories" refused to change their ways of promotion and went out of business Definitely a risky and ballsy move by Vince, but it worked for a long timeat least up until this PG era they have now!!
