For those, whose arguments are, the British gave Indians this and that, like railways firstly as Shashi mentioned, they didn't create those for us, Indians, it was simply for the benefit of themselves, paid by Indian tax payers yes, the byproduct might have been useful to Indians to some extent although the extent of which was highly limited But, the most important point is, none of those needed colonization There are many countries who did all of those, even though they were never colonized We probably could have done much better much faster, if not being plunged into poverty and one of the worst performing ecomonies after 200 years of colonial torture So, stop it with the justification It's really sad to see former oppressors trying to downplay the gruesome reality that Indians were put through Yeah, I get that it's not the current generation's fault, for like, how cruel or barbaric Churchill was, but the burden would be a bit lighter, if only the present Britain can accept the wrongs of their past
