My dryer only eats socks Really You'd think whoever had that dryer would have learned to check their pockets before putting clothing in the laundry Maybe they thought if they keep putting in the dryer it would last longer! That's an old model dyer -- maybe the payment method actually worked!

I hate bullshit stories about laundromat machines being shit canned These machines are definitely cannibalized for the coin-slide mechanisms The parts are re-used over and over , again and again I've seen internal components bottle-ink dated to be re-used

Should you ever need it again, a good shortcut to picking up all that change is use a vacuum cleaner hose but before you turn the vacuum on take a pair of pantyhose or trouser socks and rubber band it over the end of the hose real tight it will create a section to pick up the coins but it won't let them go into the tube of the vacuum so kind of works like a magnet for money This also works if you're a smoker of green plant products that you spill on the floor and need to vacuum up but not throw it away 🤭

I did landscaping one summer and stayed with my friend whose family owned the business They would wash their close with tons of cash in the pockets and I'd find it in the dryer If I were a less honest person I could've probably pulled $100 a week out of there no joke They just left money lying around all over the place Went into the living room one day and there was $400 just sitting on the side table by his dad's TV chair

About twenty years ago i bought a used dryer thirty bucks when i unload it at home i heard change rattling in so i pulled the back all said and done cash and change $38941 and i used the dryer over ten years lol

You should get into appliance repair A lot of those washers and dryers people throw out there is nothing major wrong with them A broken belt or a baby sock caught in the drain tube A little cleaning and a few bucks in parts and you can resell it for $75 or $100 easily Also those perforated metal washer and dryer drums people at least out here on the west coast will buy them for $25 each or more just to use for a burn barrel for camping since they throw off a lot of heat, keep coals, sparks and nails contained for fire safety and the environment cleaner rather than digging fire pits and scorching rocks and such I live off grid in the desert with solar power and I scrounged a nice Kenmore washer with a baby sock caught in the drain Removed the sock, cleaned it and installed it under the nose of my 5th wheel for a hillbilly wash station I scarfed a gas dryer too and had to replace the belt and fabricate a dial for it It sits out there as well and is hooked up to a propane bottle Both work fine

Not uncommon to get a boatload of change from dryers when I delivered for Lowe's We had to put the haul aways in a semi trailer behind the store when we came back end of day We dismantled them and always got a pocket full of coins Costume jewelry as well

I worked for sears for 14 years delivering appliances In total I found about $400 in change The biggest payout for a single dryer was one diamond wedding ring and 3 gold necklaces and one silver necklace The change was around 20 bucks I returned the jewellery to the original owner, they were so ecstatic that they gave me an extra 50 bucks!

Clothes dryers and washing machines are easily fixed and can be sold to used appliance stores for more than scrap value mechanical timer washers and dryers can work for decades with minimal amounts of repairs the new high end machines are lucky to make it out of factory warranty before they fail and get crazy expensive to fix just think if you had a store front you could sell some of the used items there and really clean up or make friends with a thrift shop

The dollara can get caught where it vents If you take the back parts off Most I ever found was 13 in dollars The controls have silver contacts The black boxes in the top You would have to save them for years to make it worth it to process

Well someone never checked the pockets, that's probably why it was playing upbrI got a upright Dyson Hoover from the skip/ dumpster, & a fan I asked the home owner if it still works, she said that it was not picking up, brI went on YouTube page to find out how to unblock it, it had a 50p English money stuck in the tube, it works like new, also there was nothing wrong with the fan

Mike what you don't see is there's money Beyond just to change that you see in the in the dryer I don't know if you know this but it doesn't cost much to fix these dryers and parts are very available everywhere you come around when you out Scavenging can you find another dryer the motor itself is worth between 25 to $50 to a person and needs that part those dryers are extremely easy to fix and you can make from 75 to $100 on a clothes dryer if it's fixed it is so easy to fix these older dryers and the parts are cheap I believe in fixing things and I would think that you might fix these washers and dryers so you can make some extra money
