All my half dollars weigh exactly the same, regardless of year or mint I guess I need a more expensive digital scale that will give an accurate reading

Also not all latter year silver Kennedy proofs had an S mint mark A 2014-D Silver Kennedy Half Dollar came from the 50th Anniversary Set Plus I suppose there is always a possibility of a coin struck on the wrong planchette like the rare 1983 copper pennies

Don’t forget about NIFC (Not Intended For Circulation) Kennedy halves from 2002 - today Even though they are NOT silver, those halves are only purchased through the US Mint They are also found in coin rolls

When I was a kid in 77 a friend stole his dads 64 Kennedys, I knew what they were he didn’t, goofy guy spent them face value Glad I witnessed all the drama it sparked a fire in me Spent the proceeding 30 years bird dogging every fifty cent piece that crosses my palm, not so many these days, the gems that people have handled me is mind staggering now that I think of it The bicentennial sets you showed are another one I’m extremely fond of, buy every one I come across I just love them those and their close cousin,lol, The Ike! Out of principle I don’t understand the Ike’s not having a greater value their just a historic coin in my eyes The sad thing about silver coins is there true value is over looked, for me it represents honest money not silver content The silver is valuable but buy bullion for that, these old coins are for hoarding,lol That 64 Kennedy represents a golden era, Camilot , flight to the moon, Vietnam Sentimental I guessbrHave a great day Daniel

My daughter was a teller at a local bank I don't know how many times she called to ask me what Kennedy halves had silver in them One time she brought home a thousand dollar bag I went through and pulled many 40 by looking at the side Went back through again found many more that I missed this time by looking at the dates

Does anyone know a way to read the date on a worn coin? I metal detect and found a shield nickel The date is very hard to read and could either be 1869 or 1880 It's very worn and worthless but if it's an 1880 it would still be a cool find Thanks

Just purchased a 1998 s silver proof set for 20 dollars I bought it because my birth year is 98 Did I get skunked or did find a good deal? From what I can tell by my research they sold for 18 dollars when the mint first issued them On sd bullion and a few other sites they go for 30 to 40 dollars

I literally just finished going thru my Kennedy halves to see which ones I needed I mean, 5 minutes ago! I only collect the NIFCs and silver/silver proofs I was looking at this site enwikipediaorg/wiki/Kennedge_figuresy_half_dollar_minta and after 2002 they list both and S, and a S silver The mintages differ, as you can see, Does that mean there is a clad and a silver S mint? I guess I need some clarification on that So happy you did this video at the perfect time for me!
