Again, there are a variety of things he "could" have done The movie, I'm sure, differs from many details of the actual facts Hollywood changes parts of a story to make them more engaging, to induce feelings such as sympathy, anger etc to produce a well rounded story by leaving bits out, or adding events, as well as aspects to keep you thinking (Even now,12 years later) Those changes are what makes for great cinema It's a movie "based" on a true story That's why I plan to read the book

A loan from a friend,family member or drug connection is what I meantIt would of been chump change to a drug connection friend for a 1 way ticket to get him there His cash was implied to still be there in this documentary at the time before the last deal and he could of taken money out To keep on drug dealing is understandable if he had no intention to stop anyway If he wanted to retire from it doing that last deal was beyond dumb just needing the one way plane ticket and cab money

Long story short, it's an opinion based on a mix of the movie & this documentary In the movie he had nothing, in the documentary he didn't even have cash for a plane ride to Panama to retrieve his cash that was later commandeered by Noriega But before that last deal went wrong A loan? What bank would give a penniless, criminal a loan & with what collateral? He just resumed with what he knew best, drug dealing Started off as just a great movie to watch, now I would love to read the book :)
