MotoPilot
I'm new to your channel hence why I'm responding to a 9month old video I'm getting serious about buying gold now although feels like I'm late to the party I'm all over the map on what I buy So I buy what I want I've made a lot of buys with US Mint nuesmatic coins and I'm stopping However I do have 3 2015 Liberty high relief gold coins that I got graded at MS69 Those puppies are worth a fare amount now But now I'm leaning on buying Perth lunar, Brits, and Buffalos 1/4 oz would be the lowest I would go I prefer 1/2oz or 1oz I have 3 1/10ths and 1 1/4oz Hoping to buy on the dips whenever that happens Cheers!

Well I thought maybe this was something I would do Guess when shit hits the fan I will be bartering This is out of my reach unfortunately

Akronos
Im new to all of this Why would ANY gold coin be hard to sell regardless of country of origin? Are they not all worth their weight in gold regardless where they were made or design?
Comment from : Akronos

gomcse
My local dealers have almost nothing unless you want to buy a tube of gold or a monster box of silver The only one ounce coins they have are Elephants and Kangaroos I want Britannias I've had to buy online to get what I want but it costs more than the LCS I'm probably going to go with the Kangaroos because they look good, are 24k, and have a low premium I can't justify 30 percent premiums on fractional Eagles and 12 to 15 percent premiums on 1 oz Eagles It's insane
Comment from : gomcse

A Al
Does Perth mint sell direct to individuals?
Comment from : A Al

Cesar Gomez
Where do you get your coins?
Comment from : Cesar Gomez

Kian
Well since I’m just starting out I have picked Britannia’s AGE’s and buffalo’s premium is just way to high I can’t recover that in a sale unless price of gold jumps way up Also I’m keeping an eye out on the various websites for deals each week brSpeaking of premium, I haven’t been able to justify fractional coins I’d rather save my cash until I can get the next 1oz brAs a brand new stacker I need to maximize my purchases and from what I hear at the many lcs around me they have no problem buying just about any gold or silver I bring in
Comment from : Kian

Bob
Cheapest premium possible

Jeffery Atkisson
So much cash sitting on that table lol!!
Comment from : Jeffery Atkisson

Angel
Sorry for the newb question, but how do you know which years are more desirable for the American gold eagles ?
Comment from : Angel

Brian who Stacks
Wondering if I should start with philharmonic since i plan on living in Europe What do you think
Comment from : Brian who Stacks

Joann Lynch
What about sets or series or limited production SDBullion has “The Awakening” series Limited production Would these coins bring a higher price at sale
Comment from : Joann Lynch

Doug Jones
I am all in on Brittania's! 24k, Security, Price & Stunning Design
Comment from : Doug Jones

robert Johnson
my 1st 3 oz will be all eagles 1 oz, 2-1/2 oz and 4 -1/4 this will happen after I have amassed 250 oz of silver!
Comment from : robert Johnson

jad1019
Both coins being BU and 1/4oz, Brit is $510 and AGE is $528 Which one do you choose?
Comment from : jad1019

Are the buffalo coins from empex 24k or 22k
Comment from : Raymond Torres

Outlaw
My options are limited by my own proclivities I won't buy anything with the queen on it, anything from China, or anything that may cause hesitation during resale (weird stuff) And I don't like buffalos So I'm pretty much bound to Eagles, and maybe generic John Wicks Krugs would be okay, but why buy a Krug when I can buy an Eagle
Comment from : Outlaw

Scotty stacker
I buy "other" coins after I had my eagles and buffalos It gets super redundant when you buy the same thing every time Some really pretty coins out there in fractional to an ounce
Comment from : Scotty stacker

Stacking Surfer
First 3 would be Gold Eagles even though I don’t like them at all They are really boring But they are more durable than the Buffalos
Comment from : Stacking Surfer

Internet Guy
European here As soon as I have the budget for it, I'm going to get myself a couple of Gold Sovereigns (I'll get multiple at the same time to get free shipping) Recognisable, low premium, and I love the design of Saint George slaying the dragon on the reverse It'll be my first gold purchase and I'm planning to make Sovereigns my stacking coin
Comment from : Internet Guy

Rotting corpse
2022 Britannias have really bad QC Feels like there are silver bullion coin series with less imperfections on average than anything by Royal Mint
Comment from : Rotting corpse

Auntie Fiat
I have bought 10 1oz gold Britannia in the past two months brbrI would gladly trade my AGE for Gold Britannia (or even Buffalo, for that matter!)
Comment from : Auntie Fiat

CoreyB
Great video 2/1 I want them all, 24k 22k I force myself to do some buying each month even if just a small amount Time goes by quick, and stacks and assets can add up nicely with "simplicity and execution" of a buying plan
Comment from : CoreyB

grifterr81
The max I can afford is one 1/4 oz gold per month In Europe they prefer 24k gold or so it seems, however I am not a fan of the philharmonikers or having the Queen on any of my coins If only the Scottsdale mint would make the Gibraltar Lady Justice coins in 1/4, or if the US mint wete to make some nice gold Buffalos in that size
Comment from : grifterr81

ButchJ
It’s fun to see what you are looking at outside the normal Thanks for the great videos and the time you spend on them - true quality, and you can tell it’s a labor of love for you, not just the $ from views Keep it up

I started buying gold this year, and my first three ounces were Buffalos

Rocky Marciano the 3rd

Comment from : Rocky Marciano the 3rd

Hiler House
My first three were proof Eagles ‘86, ‘87, ‘88 as released by the mint
Comment from : Hiler House

Sovereign Saurus
Mainly buying sovs this year, particularly the 2022s, a few Brits and speaking of series, we're at the start of the bullion Tudor Beast series so might do well in the future for people playing catch up If I were just buying 3 oz this year I'd probably say 1 oz Tudor Lion, 1 oz Britannia and 4 2022 sovs being in the UK If in the US probably would ditch the sovs for a Buffalo
Comment from : Sovereign Saurus

Ben Case
I'm working on filling a plastic dime roll of 1/10th Eagles I enjoy your videos

Martyn Rawlins
24x🥕 or 22x🥕 gold is cool All the designs are metal sunshine They would even look good in lead How the planet turns the dead fauna and flora into fossilised rock containing gold and other metals and minerals of everlasting use to evolving humanity is still a miracle to me and I love science Robert Kiwosaki bores me crapless about how to be a billionaire but he's right about God's money being gold Even poor dad's can be rich in spirit You can't lose that Another thought provoking video Cheers 2is1 Let's hope for another Golden Dawn tomorrow
Comment from : Martyn Rawlins

FortunaMagica
I still prefer 22 carat but that's mainly because I love handling my gold and I'm pretty happy I don't have to worry about scratching them up when handling them :-)
Comment from : FortunaMagica

Exiled Monastic
gotta say those new britanias are very appealing to newbies who don't have expensive verifying equipment, because those security features seem to be well thought out and hard to fake for the time being probably a good time to get them and buy them with confidence before the fakers jump on them lol

I'm totally on board with WHY to buy and WHAT to buy, but I just don't know WHERE to buy I'm only in my 30s, but I'm old school in the sense that I want to use cash and have my purchases untracked Am I stuck with a local shop? If so, how do I confirm they're real Eagles or Buffaloes?? Please help, lol
Comment from : JD Math

personally i like 1/2 oz eagles but my favorite coins on the market are without a doubt britanias, you cant beat the beauty of those coins, silver and gold are both great looking
Comment from : d fink

David James
Agree there QuickSilver, the Britannia is such great value, just wish the Buffalo was just as good value here in the UK I had the same thing with the Perth Mint Ox and thought it was a bit of a duffer at first, but like you 2is1, it is a real nice coin and just waiting for the spot price of Gold to drop a little to get the Tiger, as the premium on that 1oz is eye watering and I don't like a weepy eye moment!!! For me 1 is the Britannia (cos of the great value), 2 is The Austrian Philharmonic, (again price and its the prettiest 1oz Gold and Silver Coin in my personal opinion) and 3 is the Buffalo, as its just a great coin but not cheap!! Sneaking a fourth place is a toss up between the Maple and the PandaI love to cuddle a Panda :-)
Comment from : David James

Seven
Lunar series awesome - came across some Series 1 gold proofs just today 👍😀

Patrick Extrum
My first 3 oz went like this7 1/4 eagles and 1 1/4oz maple Follow that with 7 1/10oz eagles and 3 1/10oz maplesI think that was ok🤷
Comment from : Patrick Extrum

Marty McFly
My first three were a Krug, a AGE and a Phil The next three were two Buffaloes and a Maple Later, I added Roos and Brits That’s how I got to my „glorious seven“ brI got a bit sidetracked in between, but generally, I have been stacking those seven ever since
Comment from : Marty McFly

Scott Thomas
Eagles, Buffalos & Brits in that order Brits have decent designs The 1099 issue is a factor, not a big one but takes away the freedom a bit CND maples… I wish the queen wasn’t so goofy looking, otherwise it is an attractive coin Krugerrand's… I just can’t warm up to them Perth lunars… laser focus, you cannot go wrong and they are always in demand

I haven't bought anything yet and I'm kind of intimidated of buying from APMEX or some of the other online precious metal dealer What do you think about companies I see advertised like American Hartford Gold, and what is the difference between buying directly or buying through companies like the one I mentioned???

J Griffin
I love the looks of the Royal Arms and Tudor Beast coins The Royal and Perth Mint coins are IMHO, are better looking than Buffalos, so perhaps they'll worth more someday?
Comment from : J Griffin

Randy Randall
When it comes to gold, I pretty much stick to one ounce Eagles/Buffalos To scratch that itch though, I buy fractional sizes of other coins (smallest is the one gram Panda which is pretty cool actually) But when it comes to silver, I've lost my mind I used to only buy ASEs These days I can't help myself with regards to overpriced silver I buy way more than I should

Hey just out of curiosity what’s you opinion on buying $20 Liberty Head coins? These have a historical value as well as being BU
Comment from : Nomofunny

John Daniels
I think what to buy depends on where you're at-- in your stacking level, financially, how much you think you should put in it overall I hit my financial crisis lifeboat level of gold a little while ago All AGEs, quarters and 1 ozs When spot dipped on Wednesday, I picked up my first non-eagle, a Buffalo I want to eventually pick up a 1 oz Brit, Maple and Krug The first two are beautiful coins and have great security features And the Krug's the OG of the whole lot Gotta have one of those And while it's true they cost less, I have to admit I want them as examples of the type as much as I want a deal
Comment from : John Daniels

5ivestring
I got to add, I started about 5 years ago, still a beginner though My strategy changes For the past 3 years or so, I was trying to fill out a series of coins, like gold eagles from 1986 to current Ok, saw that is going to take a long time, and started seeing some really beautiful coins out there, so changed my tactics I buy what I want, what appeals to me at the time, Got a beautiful 1 oz gold Cutty Sark, Gold Runner and Cooks Island Bounty in the last few months Over normal prices by some, but it is what I wanted These aren't investment coins to cash in later, but to pass on in the family I figure some beautiful gold coins from around the world would be more fun to receive when I kick the bucket than all Eagles, Maples etc So, I'm buying by beauty for now Subject to change Smart move? 2 is 1, Yankee Stacker, Silver Dragons and a few other are way smarter than I am I value their advise highly
Comment from : 5ivestring

Eagles, no paperwork at LCD when you sell
Comment from : richard c

Cairpre Liffechair
I missed the Mouse and regret it so bad Is there no love for Mexican Libertads or British Sovereigns? Personally I'm beating the spread with all of them; eagles, Brittanias, Maples, kangaroos 1/10 to 1/4 ounce at a time
Comment from : Cairpre Liffechair
