One beautiful ounce (or there about) I never leave the home without my well patinated AU Peace Dollar I like to touch it, look at it, hand it to people and very occasionally, flip it I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, every stacker started with that one beautiful piece of silver Comment from : Eric S |

Like he says the inability to just spend the silver outright is an invaluble savings asset Funny when I first started stacking I was worried about what I would do in a crisis, how would I get rid of the stuff, but now I just thank God I will have some silver in a crisis Fiat currency is all well and good, but it goes through your fingers so fast I remember the first time I got an ounce of gold, the feeling of security it gave me When I finnally got it in my hands I thought, gee I guess I won't have to worry ever about being absolutley broke, if I had an emergency that Gold would always be a thousand dollars for me if I really needed it Such a sense of security and defensive savings Needless to say I still have that first gold peice and slowly it adds up Because you don't spend it rather you put it in a safe and forget it's there Over time it gets bigger and bigger, wheather you are just starting out, or are a long time stacker, gold and silver seems to be for me anyway, the only way I can save money! It is a great defense against hard times, and over time will make a poor man rich Comment from : VanceChristopher |
It takes a lot to reach a 1000 ozs I no longer have what I did because of financial issuesbrBut buying a fifty oz bar and several kilos a month it will still take you close to a yearbrStack on! Comment from : hisinvisibleness |
I actually think 40 ounces is a good starting point too, now that i think about it I am way beyond that nowadays, but that can be reached in a young age with little extra doing Wish i started earlier (as with any investment - if you want to stay moderately wealthy, start young) Comment from : Argentus |

What annoys me is that silver rounds cost the same amount as government minted coins so there's no advantage to buying them here I've moved away from buying coins coz of the premiums and started pretty much only buying 10 ounce barsbrbrIs there a risk in buying generic 10 ounces bars that are just cast ingots made locally which don't have a brand recognition which are cheaper as opposed to buying brands such as Scottsdale and Germania which are of the better quality and have serial numbers, for when it comes to selling? Comment from : PhrozenPhlanges |

We just started stacking, our goal is to buy 10 rounds every 2 week paycheck, and if we have to skip a paycheck to buy 15 the following This is a great goal, our preferred minimum is what we need to live comfortably for 3 months (12,000 dollars worth, roughly 16 pounds) The timeline to reach this is a year if we miss a few weeks Comment from : Josh Cava |
Heck, I don't know 40 oz's if Silver seems like as good a goal as any No question, I'm not stopping at 40 oz's, but maybe I'll just keep making 40 oz's my goal every time I achieve it I'm just starting out, but I'm not far from my 1st 40 oz's I was doing American Eagle's, but stopped that about a year ago The premium is stupid on the American Eagle Comment from : Trent Winston |

How many ounces of silver for every ounce of gold, would you recommend? Comment from : Julio Lopez |

Gold and silver will just make you a target for those who want itthe only thing you need is knowledge and skills witch you can never lose as they are part of youWSHTF trading puts you automatically in danger immediate family is all you should trustsurvival of the fittest Comment from : fish |
huh, really good point you being up that I don't see many people pointing out: Having a savings in metal DOES give you a large incentive to NOT spend your savings, thus a savings in metal is much more likely to grow over time, provided you add to it regularly, even in small amounts Comment from : Midnights Ocean |

when i do the math a populist movement of substance would need stackers to hold 8000 each Comment from : Aaron Knudsen |

I started stacking one month ago with a goal of buying 5 to 10 ounces every week And from watching your video 40 ounces is a good amount to have for stacking and he made a couple very good points you’re not gonna lose because of inflation so I think it’s a wise investment, the more I learn In one month time I have accumulated 38 Ounces of silver coins, 4 ounces in silver bars, 35 ounce ingot, and 55 grams of gold! When I heard him say 40 ounces that’s when I looked to see what I had on like OK I can push it to 100 answers from my goal Thanks for the information!!! Comment from : Fastimpala12 |
My first goal was 50oz, than 100oz than 500oz than 1,000oz after that, I can relax and just keep stalkig Comment from : tarussov |

Great video and tips Collected some silver coins here and there in the 90s Going to restart collecting silver from 0 oz and goal is to get to 40 oz end of the year If you have not done it yet, would love to see a video on starting a gold collection from zero Comment from : Song Account |
40 oz would give you a little bit of an "oh crap" fund, or like you say, avoid inflation I have some stock that pays 15/mo dividend; it'll be tempting to use those divs to put into metal to diversify that out a little bit - assuming I can free that money up from necessary expenses Comment from : Jade Dragon玉龍 |
To get the actual benefit I'd say hundreds is the bare minimum Ideally you'd want more like 500 or 1000 Comment from : The Truth Is Right |

As a veteran, I appreciate your kind gesture to donate to an organization that supports veteranshowever, Wounded Warrior project was found keeping over 90 of donations for profit Just something to think about There's tons of other not for profit organizations out there that actually help veterans Your heart is in the right place but WWP is shady AF Comment from : Joshua Berner |
500 oz sounds like a good starting goal for new stackers Comment from : Tazmaniac |
I like your style Instead of complaining you can't get something, you went out and found a way to make money to buy it That's what gets a person respectbrPersonally I think 40 ounces isn't going to be enough If and when the dollar crumbles to the gold backed currencies we have a lot of debt to pay back Cash will be worth paper as it did for Germany after WWI and WWII The barter method may be the only way to buy things Forty ounces won't be enoughbrBut, it's a nice start for those just starting outbrAnother way to save up for silver and gold is to cut out your monthly maintenance fees for things like internet, cell phones, etc Premium prices aren't always the best way to do things Buy a lower end phone with a cheaper monthly service or get rid of cable and use internet if you have to Just things like this make it easy Comment from : Bee Bob |
