I also write for Medium and I've been on the platform for about 2 years I'd say about half of my content is geared toward writing poetry or or writing about writing poetry Given this is a fairly small niche and most poets do a lot of reading, my income has not been substantial but it has been consistent I am branching out to more genres as I have quite a recognition on Medium now I'll come and find you and follow you on Medium! One thing I mentioned in the video is the sense of community on the platform Because of my connections there I have been able to launch a very successful freelance writing business and I know work full-time making only the money from my writing It takes most people years to make this happen and for me within 7 months of launching my business I have established financial security for myself Medium has been a gift to me @fnfwriter is my handle there
