As many times I had to backspace in order to process everything he's saying lol My dyslexia is more with hearing and mathbrFor example The GPS system, I need to see it If I hear it, the words get jumbled the same way a person with reading dyslexic brAnd math, I don't even know my own phone number until I damn near create a melody with it brbr Reading, I've learned strong coping skills because my mom was on it me and my brother since we were young

My dyslexia was diagnosed as poor eyesight I was given glasses that gave headaches and made my vision worse As time went by my vision was checked by someone without any biases I was found without glasses my natural was better than any the Doctor had ever encountered So a new reason for my slow reading Lazy, needs to give more effort blah, blah Was a good athlete in high school Because of the football scouts I got looked at for dyslexia Good thing I was good at football Knowing helped for my last 2 years of school yet I'm no NASA rocket scientist or any other thing that would have made me rich beyond belief I set it on the mantle next to my high IQ for all the good either has been for my lifebrbrLooking back spelling my name EOJ instead JOE I guess wasn't just cute

I have dyslexia but I never went through school I was homeschooled My grandfather taught me a ton while working with him (he has dyslexia as well) Through working with him I learned how to read and comprehend with dyslexia It isn't a barrier to me, there is a trick to it that just works IDK if I could teach it to anyone, I wish I could, because reading is downright enjoyable for me

I am dyslexic, I have ADHD and I am autistic, so I am not sure about the bits that says the brain axons are close together in Autism and far apart in dyslexia This makes it sound as if these are opposite conditions but I have both So, how far apart are my brain axons?

We know for everyone that some task are harder for them and some easyer There are some "personality" test buinsess run Buy just acknoliding that something will be hard and will take effort and there is nothing wrong with that has been proved to lead to success Any kid that is told that not geting somthing the first time is not falier but just means you need to try again will set a much better mind set Anyone that has taken up the sport of Olympic lifting will spend most of there time not getting it right, but knows that is what is expected As a leader of teams I have had a lot of success by working with peoples stregth and helping them ecknoldger there weeknesses Its powerfull stuff!

I have begun to tutor a 7 yr old girl whose mother is desperate for help after 2 years of struggle through kindergarten and still cannot read but a few words and often forgets those How can I help this child who is already tired and frustrated and beginning to give up?

Every parents evening, my parents were either told I wasn't bright or wasn't trying I joined the Police and found I could take in and process a situation so quickly compared to others What others found hard I found easy I found out 23 years ago I was dyslexic and had to resign Because the paperwork was to hard I studied and returned 21 years later I understand my gift I build things, I create, I help others This reminder of my past also made me cry I am so gad people like this presenter are changing education and views

I have the extraordinary gift o dyslexia I don't know why, but I can talk backwards and I can are a pen in each hand and write with both simultaneously on a page The left hand writes forward and the right hand writes backwards, meeting the script in the middle, creating a perfect mirror image I found out I was dyslexic while visiting a children's museum several years ago There was a section that was set up so that visitors could experience what others with different types of disabilities have to go through That dyslexia mirror was fun for me Everyone was astonished that I immediately figured out how to write under it Anyhooo

Oh God its so true I am Dyslexic and have ADHD and have two degrees, play 5 musical instruments etc but every day I still feel incredible shame over something I can't help and a fear ever day that my work is going to find out, am going to get fired and I am going to let my family down I am not unusual in this, I have had so many bosses who don't get it and did exactly the wrong thing I wish society could recognize that I am not the problem

I've been really down lately because some of my classmates laugh whenever I answer my teachers' questions because I couldn't exactly put my thoughts in order so they came out unorganized and jumbled My answer was right but nonetheless, I felt extremely disheartened The same thing happens when I'm to read something from the screen aloud, I tend to mispronounce them even though I pronounced them perfectly in my headbrbrMy teacher later said that I was a bright kid but I needed to try harder I don't excel in written exams and memorization you see, and I have failing grades in most of my subjects brbrMy newly found self-esteem took damage and I just want to say thank you for this talk :>

So i am diagnosed with ADHD and i find english very hard to pay attention/ do the work because when i have to read a text i read it and as soon as i get to the end of the line on the book i lose track of where i was, i jumble up the word orders, the word letters, i struggle when writing that i write the end of the sentence in the middle, i`ll write the words in different letter orders But my mind works in a problem solving way my physics teacher said My last years math teacher had been diagnosed with dyslexia aswell and he said i might have it so idk what to do because i already visit my doctor a lot for other reasons and i think hes getting tired of seeing me 😂😂

I am dyslexic maybe from my own diagnosis Am from Africa and there are no facilities to test for dyslexia here In Middle school I just couldn't get how to read or write often wrote words with correct letter but in the wrong order or even upside down letters My teacher would beat me for that (which was legal here that time) on everyday I went to school for the whole duration of middle school 😢😢 I was labeled a lot of things by my teachers which I can never forget I searched the internet on realizing there was something wrong with me only to learn about dyslexia Tried explaining to my parents but they only thought I was making excuses Fast forward now I graduated top of my class first class with a CS degree, I am a senior software engineer by profession and excel at a lot of things that others find difficult In my young age (around 9 years) I usually created little remote controlled robots from salvaged switches and electric motors which blew everyone around mind, thought it was just simple By 12 I was fixing electric gadgets around the house if they stop working Learnt chess at 6 I can draw patterns from seemingly unrelated things This video is absolutely correct, if you can find your inner brilliance you will be shielded from thinking you are less than others

I am extremely dyslexic but somehow have found myself in a Senior Property Specialist role The only reason for this is my capacity to connect with other humans I hide my dyslexia from everyone and when I do rarely share, people don't believe mebut every day I struggle and work harder than everyone around me to understand issues they get quickmy story is worth telling, and I hope to tell it one day! Dyslexia is a tricky thing It runs in my family My daughter has recently been diagnosed It breaks my heart that she is going to have to work so hard to achieve what she needs to achieve I have a bachelor of education People ask me, how can you be dyslexic and be highly educated I always tell people, a pass is a pass It's hard for me I struggle I get marked down for basic errors, especially referencing That has been the bane of my higher education experience Another dyslexic parent said to his dyslexic kidsC get degrees At the end of the day, what does it matter if you got 52 or 92 You have the same knowledge, you do the same job Just keep swimming

This made me so emotional My dad, my husband, and my daughter all have dyslexia I’ve never looked at dyslexia as a disadvantage, they just learn differently And let’s all admit it, the English language is ridiculous Why do we need 5 different ways to spell one word? figured out I'm dyslexic in varsity, being stuck at 50 on all subjects makes sense now No matter how hard I tried I would be at 50-60 most is 70 only when i re-read everything 3 times over, this is including text books and novels I do feel kind of ashamed but this video helped me realize that its not a disability its just a different set of people meant for different purposes in the world

Hi as a medical personnel I tell my clients to always checkup on their family To know if they are okay But I didn't have enough time for mine and I didn't notice that my child had ADHD But I am greatful to Dr Iyhere on youtube for providing a lasting treatment for him I appreciate you sir

I had a bit of both worlds my parents have been really supportive, I was diagnosed with ADHD around the age of 14 and my family took special care of me I became pampered but at school I couldn't make friends because I easily forgot their names When I turned 18 I was a loner no one wanted to talk to me anymore I became depressed But with the help of Dr Iyhere herbal mixtures on youtube I have been upgrading my social life

Due to the nature of my job I have been unable to try out alot of things, also I tend to be forgetful of things so I went to the hospital and I was asked to conduct some tests When the doctors told me I had ADHD, and meeting Dr Iyhere after all these so called treatments, my life has been quite difficult

We took a test in my English class to determine our reading level and grade level I'm around 4/5 of my honors class Last year on our standardized EOC English test I got into the 97th percentile (in state of Texas) and I scored an 8 (it goes 1-8) on my essay Reading is my main hobbie and I've been the most avid reader I know since 8th grade I always get insulted when the teacher aid comes by and ask if I want to be read to I was diagnosed with dyslexia in 2nd grade my spelling and handwriting are atrocious I have a friend who has a similar situation but all the other dyslexic kids do pretty awful and if they do well it nothing special I believe there might be a correlation between low IQ and dyslexia I believe it it certainly produces bright people but more often the opposite

Hello! I'm from italy Born in 96 I discovered my dyslexia in High School because of a teacher None told me before I struggled a lot with math throught my school years I speak well and read well and I write decently well but I make confusion with numbers, letters and abbreviations as well as comunicate my thoughts in sentences I often can't express myself totally as I would like and I am very bad in calculations I wasn't very good a school eitheraltough these issues I managed thru the years to learn 3 languages and develop digital skills I am good in problem solving and I'm ingenious Beacuse of this, I repair broken things easily and I love to develop creative ideas I'm an artistic personality and I see myself in what he expressed in this video I find it very motivational! Thanks!
