I don't really see how the fact that France would have set a much too high exchange rate for the franc CFA is compatible with France benefiting from a low exchange rate for African imports Those two assertions are contradictory and frankly I sense some bad faith here The currency was quite stable over the time and the fact that these countries had a lower growth rate is not necessarily linked with the fact that they had the franc CFA Not convinced
