Comment from : Sean Penrod

Albu Ru
The premium is the same for 1/oz or 1/10 oz :) is because when you pay 200$ for 1/10 oz premium is around 40-50
Comment from : Albu Ru

Jason King
Great savings tool There's way less "emergencies" that come up when you lock you hard earned money in metal 🤑
Comment from : Jason King

Timothy Thompson
This is great logical advice Invest in what you can afford
Comment from : Timothy Thompson

@JRT Jonathan Winchell
If those two girls spend their entire check on gold & silver what are they sacrificing if they spend their entire cash?
Comment from : @JRT Jonathan Winchell

Chatsworth Osborne, Jr
People who invest in God's money doesn't worry about premiums they worry about Yahuwah and survival the rest doesn't mean anything
Comment from : Chatsworth Osborne, Jr

Comment from : Donald Desnoo

David Pitcher
What about 1/10 gold Britannia, 1/10 Austrian, Australian, etc The premium is so much less Are they a decent investment or is somebody better to pay the much higher premium for a maple leaf or even a gold eagle?
Comment from : David Pitcher

Roberto H
you'd be surprised how quickly those 1/10oz become full oz, i know i can't just buy 1 oz of gold any time i want, but i could buy 1/10 any month i feel like, I also live in Australia, we don't pay sales tax with 9999 coins, so i can collect all different types of 1/10 oz gold coins from all different mints sure as hell can't afford the variety in 1 oz coins, but 1/10 for sure
Comment from : Roberto H

adultingwithnudo
I think I would rather have 8 Silver Eagles Thank you for the video, starting to warm up to the idea of 1/4 ounce gold though

Donna Bailey
Hello, what do you think of goldbacks?
Comment from : Donna Bailey

Kevin W
I no longer buy any gold 1/2 ounce or higher The premiums are too high Yesterday, my LCD had Krugerrands priced at 18800 each I scooped up 6 of them He purchased a very large collection of gold a couple weeks ago and priced the gold to sell, so my timing was perfect I am not always this lucky
Comment from : Kevin W

Mikey
I want a 25 dollar indian gold coin or a 1 dollar one Really like the 25 dollar one I want to buy in person and there isn't any place to go around here I need to find a reputable place to go There is no coin shops at all anywhere close either Wish I had the money to open a coin shop here Small town but there isn't anywhere for people to bring their coins to sale or anywhere to buy Bad thing about small towns
Comment from : Mikey

Steady Stacking
I think the 1/10th Oz Eagles are a good entry point I stacked some of them while I was focusing on Silver Now that I have shifted to working on gold I have found 20 franc gold coins are a super deal when trying to budget
Comment from : Steady Stacking

Charles Seeks Silver
No sales tax but a huge(30+) premium
Comment from : Charles Seeks Silver

Carl Childs
One of the best Gold videos ever! Sharing this video with family and friends
Comment from : Carl Childs

Double Shot Jordan
The 1/4 is my favorite Premiums aren’t bad and you can actually see the coins lol
Comment from : Double Shot Jordan

Broderick
I think 5g bars are the best place to start on the lower end They sit at about 315 rn for Valcami/Argor which breaks down to $63 per gram Melt price per gram is about $58 So you only pay $25 total premium over spot for a nice little gold bar in a sealed protective case with serial number and assay brbrWith the 1/10 oz gold coins you're paying about $215 for just over 3 grams which breaks down to about $69 per gram vs $63 for the above aforementioned 5g bar
Comment from : Broderick

HigherMindedTreasures
I Accept your challenge my guy

Joseph
Locally people buy 1/10 oz much easier than half or full ounce Even quarter ounce seems a bit much to some people But couple hundred bucks for a new gold coin doesn’t seem bad at all
Comment from : Joseph

NOODLES
I love my LCS guy he basically buys everything at just about spot and sell at spot or a very low premium depending on the product so when it comes to fractional I go to him forget the big online retailers
Comment from : NOODLES

Challenge accepted I'm going 1/4 each month Will I make it? Who knows If I have to I'll drop down to 1/10 But I'm pretty confident in my strategy
Comment from : B²

Winged_Stacker
I really enjoy your conversations with Brian Good info One thing I wish you would have covered in this video is how other 1/10th oz coins (Britannia's, Mapleleafs, etc) do in the same scenario I just finished up a tube of 1/10th coins, with the majority of them being eagles but several other coins mixed in for variety Last observation, I just picked up a 1/10th oz coin (either Canadian or Perth - not sure which I got yet) for 10 The deals on 1/10th ozer's are out there if you look
Comment from : Winged_Stacker

oif-234
Why don't you encourage buying European sovereign coins? Really low premiums, a variety of sizes plus some really cool history
Comment from : oif-234

Mike OBrien
So as I understand it even though the premium is high when you buy a smaller amount of gold your shop is willing to pay a little more for the smaller amounts over larger amounts on a buyback? That seems fair, don't think all coin shops do that -so shop around
Comment from : Mike OBrien

mimaroo
When I started stacking in 2011, I bought 10 ounces of silver and a 1/10th ounce of gold every month
Comment from : mimaroo

melbedewy
NO WAY to 25 premiums If you can't afford an ounce go with angels or roosters from legit dealers-or a machine if you have one-at 3 or 4 percent Or bars as a second choice Anything but that 25 robbery!brIMHO
Comment from : melbedewy

Amish Gamer
Thanks to you Speg and your 2021 challenge (I started late in June) I have a nice looking stack

Jason Hastings
I need the stock market to hit big!!! Id take about $20,000 and buy some gold with it!!!
Comment from : Jason Hastings

Gary Huffman
I buy a 5 oz's generic silver bar and 1 - 1/10th oz lady liberty bullion coin from MMX every month Would like to have you do a video on generic's as opposed to government coins, which is the best bang for the buck? I think generics are the way to go, but would like your opinion!
Comment from : Gary Huffman

Jason Hastings
Man all that sure is purdy!!!😁😁
Comment from : Jason Hastings

James Murray
People cry and whine about the "premiums" on fractional coins and bars When SHTF happens, grid goes down Your not going to be worried about premiums Sorry for being blunt, but it's the reality we live in now
Comment from : James Murray

Sovereign stacker
I fell like that some what off In Maine at some places they will give me more money for 1/10 oz gold because if there out and they need it or it’s just so much more liquid than 1 oz they give me a better price
Comment from : Sovereign stacker

Mike Brewer
Hmmm 10th oz of gold per month, and a glass of Merlot? That's the ticket! Investing for my future and living well Now that's great advice Speg
Comment from : Mike Brewer

Patriotic stacker
Pure life 😂👍🏻
Comment from : Patriotic stacker

TheDurnans
I've often wondered about having coins piled like that on a table Doesn't that scratch the super smooth surfaces of the coin? I have a tube of brand new silver Britannias and I'm afraid of handling the coins for fear it'll scratch the queens face and lower the value
Comment from : TheDurnans

Patriotic stacker
1oz gold challenge a month for me 👍🏻
Comment from : Patriotic stacker

Tommie Hoseman
I plan on stacking 30 1oz gold eagles this year With inflation at 7, which translates to 15, I don't think you can go wrong stacking 5 down 25 to go!brbrSpeg, thanks for all the informational video! I'm always looking forward to the next onebrbrBrian, thanks for helping me build my stack! And thanks for being honest and offering information to new stackers like me I appreciate you
Comment from : Tommie Hoseman

mushbutt
This is precisely why my largest gold is quarter oz and my largest silver is 10 Can still get quarter oz pieces for less than 500$ and I think 2000$ gold is cheap in today's dollars
Comment from : mushbutt

QuickSilver
One thing Brian didn't mention is private party resale (I'm sure that's because he's a dealer and he doesn't focus on that) If you want to move your metals privately, for whatever reason, it tends to be easier to move smaller amounts Thanks!
Comment from : QuickSilver

Omega Team Sports

When there’s a dip I buy 5 gold 1-ounce coins When the spot price rises I sit back Last year there was a sale on 1/10 ounce eagles so I bought a roll of 20 of them
