After countless portable gas units you can buy that fail and dangerous if something goes wrong , like in my instance for same money opted for the 6lt version of this hot water system , brilliant , yes it's electric but no more gas , can have it run at lowbrFlow not over burn or over temp sense has unit when water is frugal , and unit holds the water hot for hours after turning off even till next morning sometimes , the advantage of this unit would be proper flow through both cold hot taps I just split mine with one pump through mixer tap works the same but can fabour cold tap more over hot due to pressure rags restriction in the hot water unit itself but fantastic unit and at the end of the day they will all fail or need replacing at some point but you'll getbrMore uses out of the electric hot water unit over a rattling gas unit and have a potential hazard when you least expect it

Those pumps are about AUD$50 each and a few John Guest fittings and hoses with a tempering valve in a fancy box It might be difficult for some to put this together, but this is a rort You could make a 200-300 profit and still have it priced under $1000 No one buys the quality over price BS

It would want to be a quick process for over $3k And it's not a "30 second setup" as you need to turn on the unit first and let it heat up for 40 min

I see now this Troopy isn't blue I wonder why blue stuck in my mind? I just use fill a dark colored water bladder and throw it on top of my roof rack and let the sun heat up the waterReady for a shower when I get to camp and it's under a $10000 maybe $6000 used I don't have your resources brother, I camp on the cheap If I want fancy I'll go rent a motel and take a long steaming shower and that's around $10000 with a bed

I guess few people understand the value of this product Warm water comes in, warm water comes out Its no heater So what justifies this high price? Compare it to a camping shower Water source with pump, connect to gas bottle, instant warm water output to shower Done Cost max a few hundred dollars So why this water distribution box? I really don’t see the value here

Andrew, did you ever consider adding some kind of suplementary solar pouch on the roof to preheat your water? Maybe that way you could shorten your preheating time and save some electric energy, at least in a sunny country like Australia

Andrew my set up takes 45 let's round up to 5 min to set up So I've saved 35min from your stated time of 40 to heat up, Is esentially an instant hot water system and my shower head doesn't leak or drip like yours in the video All I need is a bucket and an icube Bang for buck I'm in front Ps ur in Oz now get a tan😂

Andrew, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with others It helps people like me to make great choices for fitting out RV's After I saw your installation of the Australian Duetto 10 litre 12V/240V water heater in your current and last troopie build I bought one for my caravan I also installed an external shower unit because I dont have an ensuite I haven't bought an Egon Water Hub but that's on the list of things to do when my current, noisy 12V water pump shits itself or annoys me to the point that I just want to bin it Keep up your good work and product development

This is pretty nifty One reason i like your videos is you really take time to think about how to do things better and you focus on quality I find myself constantly thinking about how to make things better and spending lots of time researching parts and their components and how to upgrade and make things ultra reliable and easily servicable and how to utilize space the best etc I really enjoy perfecting the little things and using high quality items It can be really difficult to get quality things nowadays Plus when you get something just right or you use a nice product the feel is just better the whole experience is better i think

I have a gas water heater and a 5 liter gas can on my boat, all connected with simple hoses to tank and identical water pump Very simple, very cheap and certainly much faster as you immediately get hot water on demand

Over $1000 for 2x $60 water pumps, a temper valve and some connections is ridiculous Especially when you still need a water heater and appropriate hoses etc to make it all work This product really feels like its just targeting and ripping off people who don't have the know how to build their own system and rely on people like ASPW for advice and recommendations

It's not the simplest, or even best way for hot camping shower brBut it's certainly fancy and expensive brbrThe simplest and best way is still a bucket of pre heated water with little pump and trigger shower headbrbrGreat if you can justify $2k on something like this but I'd still 100 prefer a bucket Great idea though
