Imma be honest, I don’t feel to bad for them, it is their choice to do what they do, I love the Olympics and I would love them to get paid more, but in the end, if they aren’t making money they shouldn’t really be getting money from what they do, the nfl and nba make so much money it’s almost sickening, so the athletes get paid a lot, the wnba and mens soccer team (in USA) make almost nothing all year because they don’t produce the money, I think that the only thing that the government should do to change is to buy the equipment the athletes need, it’s kinda insane that they had to buy their own bobsled, that should be given to them

I mean, olympics really don't make so much money when you take into account their volume, the world cup has more viewers AND it is only a single sport, also many of the sports simply don't have that much attention to financially support themselves That'a where I think a government of a country as big and rich as the usa should simply give sports grants, they fund so much other useless nonsense but not the people who realistically bring you the so much prestige and glory on the international stage
